I wouldn't have been against the idea of showing that Shepard became a legend in this manner, but it was so poorly done and that they chose to waste a Buzz Aldrin cameo on this scene only exacerbates the problem.

It really is a horrible scene. Like, Buzz is a cool guy, and I'm glad the Vigil music got in SOMEWHERE, but still it's one of those things that adds nothing of value (and the sudden break in narrative framing makes it actually take things away).
Cute idea, but poorly done and out of place. Should've been scrapped.

it's creepy why he calls the boy my sweet and all I can think is of Kaidan and shep in mass effect 1 and 3 making love and he told the little boy that
why the little kid did not ask what was up with that weird ending we all did
that dead child and star brat are like dawn from buffy the vampire slayer are just there and we have to deal with it no matter how bad they are
at least in buffy the did it at the start of the season and by the end they gave a much better reason for her being there then bioware did for mass effect 3s awful plot and ending

Sure, we might land a crew on Mars. Doesn't mean we can also terraform a nearby planet for stable living. Humans need resources so we can't just drift through space on a station. I truly wonder if humans have evolved this much in the past but just been wiped out with out any record of our existence due to the Earth taking back what belongs to her.
