My new canon DA:O play through is going to be a Dalish rogue.
But I've arbitrarily chosen to have each of my DA characters be a different class until DA4, so my new canon Hawke is a Mage, and I'll be starting DA:I with a sword and shield warrior.
Who here is going to be playing as a Rogue first time through?

Next year, who here will being the sneaky dagger wielding Rogue in DAIII?
If they were actually sneaky and awesome, I wouldn't mind. However, if they're like in Dragon Age 2, wildly swinging their weapons in the hope of hitting something, I'll be happy to never play one again.

Most likely yes. I'm currently doing a canon playthrough and playing DA:O as a mage, I think I'll go as rogue on DA 2 and DA: I. At some point I will most likely play through DA 2 and DA I as a mage but I won't be going back to DA:O. I've played through it so many times that I can't just get myself into it when there's so many other good games to be played.

I think I may this time. Depends on the available backgrounds I suppose. I just realised how much fun DA2 combat was while playing as Isabela during her personal quests. All I hope is that they improve the rogue armours since I found them to be quite underwhelming or downright ugly in DA2, which put me off making Hawke one.

I'm doing a canon playthrough of DAO and DA2 right now. My Warden is a Rogue and my Hawke will be a Mage so I will probably choose Warrior as my first playthrough of DA3. I usually choose warrior first playthrough.

Depends on the specializations. I usually play mage first, but if you can be a pirate (arrrr) or a bard (lalala), maybe I'll go rogue first.

How else am I supposed to open chests?

Rogue ... maybe .. but only if archery stays a part of rogue class. Most likely I will wait and see what the individual classes / specializations are before I make a decission about what class to play or not.

My first playthrough is always a rogue. That is my favorite class. Not only that but then I can get those pesky early chests.
I will then change up my classes on different playthroughs.

I played as a rogue for my first playtrough in both games, so yes, I will.

I will probably be a rogue second and a Mage first

I always play a rogue. They're just way too much fun. Especially if that Assassin skill tree is still around.

Yes. Though if I can't rifle through people's pockets and generally steal everything that isn't nailed down, I will be eternally disappointed.

I'll probably be a mage, but I'm hoping our trusty murder knife returns for the third game so that daggers will feel that they are represented well.

I will!
My cannon Warden was a Rogue, and my cannon Hawke was a Mage, so now its Rogue's turn again.
Yes, I skipping Warrior because I don't particularly feel drawn to the Warrior class - my 3rd playthrough of each game is my Warrior playthrough (after I've already done rogue and mage)

Rogue is just the one class I can never get into. I like being an archer, which is now rogue only, but my first love is the 2 handed warrior.

I'll be playing a rogue, more than likely. I usually do, although I think I'm going to play a mage in DA2 to spice things up a bit when I do my Dragon Age play-through to prepare for 3.

My original playthroughs (which are the ones I consider to be my own personal canon, being the least meta-influenced) have been a mage Warden and a rogue Hawke.
While I can't say for sure, since we know virtually nothing of the story or how our PC will be involved, I suspect my Inquisition protagonist will be a warrior.

My first playthrough will be as a rogue, then mage and warrior.

Nope. Mage. Continuation of first playthrough. In DA:O I was a female rogue (Dalish) which I transferred to DA II where Hawke was a male warrior. In Inquisition my character will be a mage, but I think I'll flip a coin to pick the gender.

Not for me. My first playthrough of an RPG where it's possible is always a male human warrior. Human is redundant for DA3, but I'll be sticking with a male warrior first. But I do so many playthroughs of most games I buy that I'll end up with at least two rogues before I'm finished.
