Hey all ...

Since the new update (what ever it is supposed to do) ... I have noticed that clicking on Multiplayer will bring up the load screen and then crash with "Mass Effect 3 has stopped responding" ... Sometimes directly after a match it does it as well when we are returned to the lobby causing me to lose those credits and points I earned for the challenges ..

My pc can definitely run this game no sweat ...


Is there a way to fix this as I ahve tried reinstalling, verifying game files, updating my drivers, clearing temp files ... etc (the long list the EA guys suggest and some of my own fixes)


All information would be greatly appreciated.

That's very strange.Before the patch I have encountered this issues several times,after I click the multiplayer on main menu,it crashes while loading .I have to manualy close the ME3.Sometimes reboot the game can solve this issue,sometimes it cannot.Then I tried to bring up the task manager and found out after I closed the game the EAcoreserver process still exists for a few seconds,so I shut it down manualy then reboot the game and it works everytime. I don't know if this is relevant although.

I have tried the new patch today and played a couple of games,no problem so far at least.Some of my friends can not download the patch,I don't know if it 's a server issue.

have you tried to update the game (by right click the game on origin)

I am having the same issue right know. I haven't tried any of the fixes yet but Emissary's post reveals a depressing outlook. I am not sure if it has anything to do with latest patch since my game was running normally just 4hr ago.

The same is happening to me. I press on Multiplayer and the game either crashes while loading or goes to the multiplayer hub but doesn't play any sounds. The game was working perfectly fine this morning.

The same situation as OP described is happening to me. I notice that it consistently crashes when I try to check scores (ESC) or when I successfully extract (just after the music starts playing, costing me the money and progress that I've earned in the match). Please, help. This is a game-breaking bug.

the new update has speeded my loadings a lot,anyway,i don't have any issues.Is your pc multicore?? if yes try to set the affinity,go back to the game and set the affinity to all the cores.I don't know other suggestions,good luck

I was having the same issue and I apparently I found a way to prevent it from happening.

Just open the game, wait until you get connected to EA servers and stuff, minimize your game and open the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete). Now look for "EACoreserver.exe", click on it and close it. Go back to the game and see if it worked.

I have noticed faster load times after the patch ... ... but that 1 little annoying problem is starting to really irritate me ... makes gaming really hard to enjoy when you keep crashing ...


I have a quad core processor and have tried the affinity thing before with no luck ....

What exactly does 'EACoreserver.exe" do ??

Worked for me. I have to keep doing it every time I try multiplayer though.
Hope we get a permanent fix soon.

Worked for my first game, thanks! Only problem is it crashed upon the attempt to start the second game. Still, better than nothing.

Unfortunately, this method doesn't appear to be guaranteed to work. My second game, while I did get the credits and XP, did crash as well, and the third crashed without credits or XP, all in the mission completion screen. This is game breaking, and I've lost a lot of credits to it.
