PC is teh race master for the same reason a McLaren F1 is better than a Ford Pinto.

They will both get you there. But one is far faster, more customized, better thought out, etc., etc.

However, the pinto is cheaper to work on, so the F1's have to make do with the crap that gets ported from them.

Let me put it this way. If we were all on PCs we'd be getting more and frequent patch tweaks. It's the Console end of things that are holding deeper level code fixes. The costs of releasing patches into MS and Sony review process has a cost that is limiting fixes into 6+ months packages.

I used to own a console.. Sega Megadrive 16bit And i do own a few wireless xbox360 controllers which i only use for race/flying games because i don't like using it for shooters.

No i just don't like controllers for shooters, and it's just i need to do more then just play a game.
Console = 1 screen
PC = 3 screens (in my case)
-Game
-Internet/website/movie/etc
-IRC/chat/Music

To me a console seems limited, and a pc has Steam/Origin, open source, free games/software and i can work/game on the same pc or switch easely, how would your employer respond if you brought a xbox360 and a widescreen tv to work?

I also saw some people mention that pc mostly get the dumbed down version of a game, well quite a few games are modded like Skyrim/Dark Souls PTDE to name a few, these games have texture packs and other mods. The same goes for Dragon Age 2. I wish however that ME3 would get a high res pack.

And secondly, a PC might look expensive when you buy it (depending on what kind of pc) but seeing i'm using my own pc for almost 6 years now, and i'm still able to play 99% of the games that come out. Sure it was 700 euro's at that time and a small upgrade in between but i got most of my games a lot cheaper then you would on a console. Also i use this pc for work so was able to write some off

In all seriousness, though, PC will always be better at all but one time. When the console is brand new.

At that moment the console is up to date with regards to processing and graphics. However, within a year (on the outside), it's obsolete tech.

For instance, the GPU's in both the ps3 an 360 are nvidia 7800/8800 class parts. There's nothing wrong with that except that modern GPU's are 4 generations ahead. There's just so much more that can be done with modern hardware.

To compare the gap in console language it's the difference between modern consoles and their 8-bit counterparts. So, how would a ps3/360 player feel if all games were developed for the SNES and ported to the ps3/360?

550+ hours. 1700+ games played. All on PC. Not once have I seen a missile glitch. Never have I noticed someone cheating with a modded file that makes crappy weapons awesome, or received more credits than are normal. I think I was kicked a total of 1 time from a lobby. No one ever yells at you on the mic. Actually, it's uncommon for people to talk at all, which is somewhat of a mixed blessing. Some useful voice communication would be nice, occasionally.

Most of the problems that people complain about here on BSN are so rare on PC that I generally have no idea what they are posting about.

Someone's got to be easily offended here is talk like that (which throughout this whole topic HAS been sarcasm).

In fact the only ones genuinely insulting others thus far in this topic have been people from the console jumpng right on top of this and calling PC people "douches" or alike. Go think about that for a few minutes.

Not really, a lot of the 'master race' are supportive quoting each other and some have put +1 to some of the responses obviously agreeing with it and calling console players scum.
