PC Master Race here, but I mingle amongst the peasantry for Rock Band and Fist of the North Star. I even married a peasant, who enjoys her fallout on console, which is heresy of the highest order, but I allow her small pleasures to keep her from revolt.

It goes without saying that this is completely tongue in cheek.

Consoles only had one advantage to PC and that was split screen multiplayer games.

With that long and forgotten, PC is superior to consoles on EVERYTHING.

My gaming PC is ****ing old, to illustrate the first fable was a new game back then, I had to upgrade a few things, but not the amount needed for a new xbox 360, I can run mass effect 3 on one monitor and work on the other, PC gaming IS superior.


However, consoles have a good point they hold development back for better or worse.

Vastly superior gaming performance and experience while the console peasants, grubbing about in the mud and sh*t with a gaming stick, wrest feeble gaming sustenance from their Precambrian consoles, scarcely resembling human beings in the process. Uncouth in manner & slovenly in apperance, their consoles life cycles are forever nasty, brutish and short.

Joke? I was under the impression that long ago it evolved from a joke into something people actually believe.

Although people still like to pretend they think it's a joke when its convenient. Similar to how people will act like jerks online and when they get called out, turn around and say "Chill out brah, I was just trolling you"

While PC gaming would continue without the existence of consoles their loss would have a profound impact on the gaming industry.  Currently PC gaming is riding high due to the unprecedented success of WoW but that is on the wane now, as are subscription-based MMOs in general.  Without the income from the massive number of console games most of the larger software houses would either vanish or just churn out "safe bet" games and the PC market would suffer significantly.

I'm fairly certain most of the comments in the thread are tongue in cheek but those few people thickheaded enough to perpetuate the PC>all herp-a-derp mantra need to realise these platforms all rely on each other.

It doesn't make jcamdenlane any less right... if I was a mod I would lock/delete any type of divisive comments between Platforms. There is literally, nothing positive that can come from it.

I like to call them the Elitist ****** Collective. Not the PC playerbase as a whole, just the a-holes that constantly prance about slinging mud and flaunting their expensive ****.

"You're stupid and impoverished if you can't build your own computer and make it last" is the general message I get from them typically. It's like spitting on a bum and telling them "I got a job and kept it, loser!" If it's a joke, then it's a trite and awful one, and if it's not a joke, then it's just people spewing generalising and insensitive insults to try to make 'less fortunate' people feel like garbage. They're either being unoriginal or extremely arrogant, but what the **** else is new in the world?

550+ hours. 1700+ games played. All on PC. Not once have I seen a missile glitch. Never have I noticed someone cheating with a modded file that makes crappy weapons awesome, or received more credits than are normal. I think I was kicked a total of 1 time from a lobby. No one ever yells at you on the mic. Actually, it's uncommon for people to talk at all, which is somewhat of a mixed blessing. Some useful voice communication would be nice, occasionally.

Most of the problems that people complain about here on BSN are so rare on PC that I generally have no idea what they are posting about.

You sir have baited me in giving away my age.  

Not true.  PC games use to have split screen mode untill the late 80s untill someone realized you could hook up 2 PCs over a LAN (Initially via a parallel cable) and have twice the processing power and ... 2 screens. 

If you have to say something negative about PC players it's that they'd rather all have their own machine than share with someone else.

You know what? I'm not sure in sitting back in a reclining chair can be considered sitting. I think it's more of a lying down kind of thing, since my back is being supported instead of my butt.

Really? All my friends seem to have ditched Console gaming for various reasons. I maintain contacts with them on Steam, but that is all I can do when my computer crashes playing the Steam version of Deus Ex. It's entirely capable of playing games that have fairly high requirements, games that were a one time really amazing, like Fallout 3, Star Wars: Empire at War, Left 4 Dead 2, and several others, but it just locks up within the first five minutes despite being able to run them at maximum settings without a hitch.
