Post EC 7/10

It's not that good, it's definitely not awesome, but it's satysfying enough and the choice is actually hard. And music is still awesome.
Basically I liked EC more than I expected.

ABC endings? Same cinematic? No impact from our choices? the ME series deserved better. Outrageous. I almost flipped my desk after the credits. They shouldn't have gone with the Deus Ex Machina Crucible idea at the first place...

more info, more diverse cinematics. some closure, but the main problem, the Crucible, and the Starchild, and the ABC still remains. Polishing a turd will only make it a shiny turd...

The game started out meh. Earth really wasn't that good, but it was the intro/tutorial, and Mars, Palaven, etc were much better. The game peaked at Tuchanka for me and slowly began to decay in quality until it started getting unbearable around Sanctuary.

I'd give it a F. EC was an improvement in some areas, but honestly the game/ending has a ton of problems. That make it hard for me to like it.

The additional goodbye scenes, the memorial wall scene and the epilogue slides (no dark age, cheering asari, krogan, etc.) were really good...but I am still no fan of StarBrat, we still don't see our war assets in action, and I hoped they'd expand on the Shepard breathing scene.

Nothing changed. Exept for some added sprinkles and some feelgood stuff, doesnt make it any better.

I never considered the original ending worth rating. Some things aren't worth examination, much less evaluation.

The extended cut tries, but I still think they failed. 5/10 seems like a fair assessment. Not enough to actually be good or really fix the issues with the ending, but at least it shows some effort. (I think with a little extra work and some different decisions, they could have merited a 6/10, but I'm not sure the existing plot would ever allow me to give them anything higher than that.)

Huh, not sure if I've heard of anyone hating the Extended Cut ending more than the original. Care to explain your position on that?
