Sorry, I will never get over the fact that I had *just* finished all the Deus Ex games, and then to finally play the last ME of acclaimed Bioware (my fav game developer), Bioware-the-king-of-characterization, and see THAT - what I had just played 3 times in a row in a non-Bioware game. Absolutely awful!!!

The games ending when the credits came up was actually a relief that the lead up to the ending was over.

The actual ending / endings themselves - not so much issue - how they came about - yes.

So I guess 3 for the original and 4 for the dlc.

Intro: 4/10
Mars - Anderson's Death 8/10 if it had a better journal and more conversation options it would have been 9.
Original Ending: 0/10
EC: 1/10

theres so much coulda woulda shoulda with ME3, its disappointing.

my recent 3rd try of ME3 lasted up until somewhere near the quarian/ geth conflict. i noticed i was just holding upper right and hitting X in every conversation. the games like "sheaprd is gonig to save the quarian and the geth!!!" and my brains saying "doesnt matter."

i might just download the demo and pay that to get my ME3 fix. id feel pain like no other trying to sell my ME trilogy to gamestop for $7.

i feel like im supposed to say 0/10.

Absolutely awful!!!

But there is so much artistic integrity in not even subtley using the exact same ideas that somebody else used. .  At least Deus Ex properly set them up.

I still don't understand how the EC changed anything. It was quite the insult in fact and actually added a more inconsistencies. It was seriously brutal to watch

I'm gonna have to agree with this.  The only saving grace of the EC (for me) was the evac good bye with your LI.  As WTF as it is to have the Normandy land right there, the way Jen Hale's voice cracks as Shepard says her farewell to Liara is so heart-breakingly beautiful.

But beyond that the primary issues of the ending simply not being appropriate for Mass Effect is not addressed.  While the EC gives a bit more exposition, the endings themselves are the same.  And just as inappropriate. 

Its as if you were writing a paper for history class and one for economics.  You printed both off at the same time and accidently turned them in to the wrong class.  No matter how well written your history paper on the Heian-era imperial court of Japan is, it simply has nothing to do with your economic class.

 After ME3, I became a bit disillusioned.  I needed some space away from Mass Effect in general and decided to catch up on a bunch of games of various genres.  After several months to think about it, and a very large set of games recently completed to compare it with, here is my grade.

Pre-EC: 2/10
EC: 4/10.

Strong emphasis on 5 being average.  In my opinion, the game doesn't have a good ending.  It is average at best, wih the pre-EC being a total mess.  I expected a higher standard of quality in writing.  I hope BW can rectify this in their future products.

Well, you can try MEHEM, for mi is 9/10.

Not 10/10 because sadly, MrFob does not have the Bioware team to add some scenes, is the best of the best that he can do with the material he has.

if my late night thinking that IT is real and in ME4 we will be a new character trying to save Shepard as we get to play as our choice of a race (as has been being tested in MP) but the reaper war is still on...

pre 3/10 (they told us this would conclude Shepard's story... if this is Shepard's end then it sure is total BS)
EC 3/10 (you explained the ending we hated to us... we still hate it)
if IT is real and ME4 will be what I think it is 6/10 (I know you could do better Bioware. We love our Shepard's, give us a more dignified ending than that, we hate being sequel baited)
