I have had this problem since late August and it has not been fixed since then, I tired pretty much every day without success.
Most people complained about EA support saying they were pretty useless but I guess I juts got lucky, so thank you to to EA support who helped me out.
I had multiple solutions from them, all which did not work so I will not post them, only the one which fixed it for me.
This is from the email:
1. Clean boot PC:
Try running your system using the Windows clean
boot option. That way you would be able to locate any program that
might be interfering with the game. The instructions for clean booting
your operating system can be found at the below given link: -

2. Set affinity -
1. Launch the game they would like to Set Affinity for.
2. Leave the game running and minimize the game or return to Windows by hitting the “Window” key on the keyboard.
3. Open the task manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL at the same time and clicking the Task Manager button.
4. In the Task Manager, click the tab labeled Processes.
5. Right-click the process (.exe file) corresponding to the game.
6. Then click on the Set Affinity option to select it.
7. Remove the check marks from all but the first two processors, so that only CPU 0 and CPU 1 are selected.
8. Click “OK”
I did not do any of step 2 however. I simply unchecked the boxes for all the services that I don't and will never use. Didn't bother pin pointing a specific program that caused the error, simply removed all the ones I did not need.
I hope this will fix it for everyone else.
