The environments look pretty decent although the character models and movement (walking looked awkward) could use some work. Also the areas get extremely repetitive quickly with how empty they are, needs more ambience.
I don't mind the slower paced combat but I am pretty curious as to just how versatile the fights can get? Seems like weapon types will actually matter, which works in its favor. The blinking ability seemed interesting, it seems like it could have a great potential for exploration.
Well it is only pre-alpha so we will see when it is closer to completion.

The animations still look like a drunk fighting.
Which I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH.
But others will.
Still very interested in this game.

There is potential here, but I fear it might be all tech no substance. Curious to see how this ends up.

An update on how combat works.
Sui Generis - Running and Controls
Movement still looks unnatural, but they plan on working on it.
Thoughts?

The combat looks clunky but in a good way.

Swinging the weapon really does remind me a lot of diablo so much that I could almost hear the sound of the creatures grunting as it hits. Not that I consider that to be a bad thing or anything worth changing, its just funny in a nostalgic way.
I would agree the animation still could use some work for the final product but considering this game is still no where near completion I do hope they do not make it the top priority, its just something to keep in mind.
I think the combat looks terrific though (moreso the actual mechanics rather then visuals that is), and honestly its probably the best thing I have seen for the game yet. It looks like you will actually have to put thought into how you attack an enemy rather then just been able to click the crap out of them. I love diablo but spam clicking enemies can get old quickly and is just mindless by nature. I like the idea of having a meaningful sword battle that does not depend on solely on how well geared I am and whether I am capable of clicking on an enemy.
Also, an extremely minor point but I found the white text on the beach to be a bit hard to read at times.
