Sound quality over mics aren't great since it is background music for you but it only comes across as a garbled mess. I don't enjoy hearing that when I play.

Seriously though, Its not as if I play my music on LOUD, it never overpowers the game, and its more convenient to have the mic always on so I dont need to hit tab.

Subjective opinion. Would you like it if someone was playing dubstep or something that you didn't like over the mic constantly?

Had a match earlier in which a player had a mic picking up most of the sound coming from his TV. It was so annoying I killed the incoming audio. Silence is preferable to constant annoyance.
