Ha! Cmon now. You have as much "unfounded belief" as anyone else here.

America was always doomed either way due to the fact that America is in so much debt, you can barely count the amount.
And Obama raised it 60% in 4 years.
And he got elected again.
It's all incredibly disturbing and depressing. I haven't seen a candidate I truly support in a very long time. At least I can say I have cast a vote against Obama both times, so none of his crap is on my conscience.
I hear that, on both counts. I don't think I've ever voted for someone I considered to be someone I wanted, always the lesser of two evils. This one was no different, except that I think Obama is going to cause serious damage this time when he doesn't have to face voters again in four years.
This, I think, is the part that actually terrifies me. If you can call the last four years the honeymoon phase, then what the heck will happen now that the honeymoon is over?

Abortion right, religious extremism, immigration and equality are NOT "straw man" arguments.
Personally I will NEVER vote for a Republican until the party pulls their heads out of the Christian fundamentalism and Ayn Rand Cult's arse; and I'm often amazed that almost half the American populations would support a Chrstiain fundamentalist party.
They are. They're spook stories used to scare gullible people like yourself into supporting political candidates and donating large amounts of money to activist "leaders."
There have been so many instances where a Republican-controlled government could have actually outlawed abortion and actually enforced laws against illegal immigration, but did not. And no real efforts have been made to do any of those things by either party save for proposals in the House that are almost instantly shot down in flames.
Do you know why? Because the government didn't want that - they don't want to outlaw abortion and they don't want to enforce immigration laws. And they're not going to, no matter what puppet sits in the White House.
Still, such tall tales make great intruments of fear, and are used most effectively by the propaganda machine. Just look at you.

I avoid politician's speeches like the plague. All their voices make my skin crawl; like the slimy used car salesman you just wish would leave you alone.

Well ... nothing, actually.
The general rule is the president gets six months to eighteen months to pass his big acomplishment before things sort of harden against him. Reagan got his tax code reform. Bush got his tax cut. Bill tried to get his health care plan, but was defeated and so tacked to the center.
Basically, Obama's got at least two years of a lame duck presidency to look forward to. Perhaps four, if the economy stays as it is (and what indications are there it's getting better?) and the GOP maintains control of the House.

You really don't have to be all too intelligent to get a Ph.D or an M.D.
You have to have the $$ and the persistance to outlast the education for it.

Uh, neither of them is a doctor, bro.

Oh no! By the gods, no! He did so much damage from 2009-2010 with a majority in the house and senate! Now that the honeymoon is over, imagine how radical his policies will be from 2013-2014 with a republican controlled house! D:DiebytheSword wrote...
