It's rare to see somebody who eats up all of the lies the left has to offer.

Abortion is not an important issue in the face of the economy, wars, etc. and if you're going to judge the entire Republican party on the words of two crazies, I rather wish you wouldn't vote at all.

Gay marriage is also not an important issue. Politicans and judges have no place implementing a "revised" defintion of marriage without the consent of the people (as a whole) they are supposed to represent. There is no reason for "gay marriage" instead of civil unions if the people vote to allow such.

On Immigration: If a person wants to be a citizen of this country they should follow the laws including becoming a citizen through legal means. That's that.

The supposed rise of Christian fundamentalism in America, is a myth fabricated to scare people like you.

Income equality you say? Welcome to the real world. Not everybody is going to get paid the same. I work my 40 hours a week and earn my paycheck. That money should belong to me, not the government, the poor, or the rich. Of course I recognize the need for taxes to pay for important stuff like infrastructure and defense, I think some social programs are good, but you want widespread redistribution of wealth? How far are you willing to go comrade?

Completely agree with this one... the most sensible comment on this topic.

My reaction to Obama won: Ah Craaap! Now we have our hope faded away to find a true solution to the Middle East difficulties. Many lives will be ruined in this 4 years...  :(

Seconded

Libertarianism and the Cult of Ayn Rand = EVIL. Libertarian ideology is no different from the Devil whispering the temptations and merits of greed and selfishness into the ears of immoral or amoral people.  It is libertarian excesses that have gotten America into the current quarmire in the first place.

Pointing at 60s,70s and 80s punks, hippies, nudists, etc. and every other absurd groups that abused Liberty and made me lose faith in Democracy.

I only support the black equality movement. Everything else social was fine in 50s. /period

On the bright side, now that Obama's place as president is secure, maybe he won't be required to drink as much of Netanyahu's Kool-Aid while overseeing the middle east peace process.

Lol, this thread is a perfect illustration of why American political discourse is so distasteful.

It's brilliant.

There won't be peace as long as one side wants war, and I'm not entirely sure its just one side that wants the war.

I'm surprised there are not more liberal voices in this thread. The BSN as a whole is VERY liberal.

The Middle East peace process is more of a thing that Presidents do just because it is one of those things they're supposed to do. It doesn't actually go anywhere. Now we have new "friends" in Libya and Egypt that should make things more interesting.

Perhaps, but as president he'll have to at least make a token effort to prevent war for the sake of appearance.

Because most are smart enough to know by now that political threads will be locked. This thread is shaping up to be a perfect example as to why.

Oh boy is that gonna be a cluster****. $200 a barrel oil is going to be fun. And since natural gas and nuclear are about to die a swift death, hello $6 gas.

Also, WEEEEEEEEE I WAS IN BEFORE THE LOCK BEFORE PEOPLE WERE TALKING ABOUT THE LOCK

I sure hope you're wrong. Natural gas and nuclear energy are superior to coal and biofuels both fiscally and environmentally, but Obama and Romney weren't allowed to say so because coal and biofuels come from swing states.  To this date one of my biggest disappointments with Obama has been his shelving of Bush's nuclear waste reprocessing plans.

Anti-fracking is an issue very near and dear to the enviromentalists that form a significant fraction of Obama's coalition. The EPA is about to regulate it out of existence. Say goodbye to domestic oil drilling too.

Coal might have been useful in that it gives us a bulwark against rising energy prices while we try and establish a robust natural gas infrastructure, or wait for wind power to ever be worth a damn, but they're about to make even running a coal-fired power plant a losing money proposition.

But hey, at least Iowa gets their corn ethanol subisides!

Congratulations Obama. So trying not to argue so will just say, the posts about abortion etc not being issue - read the results breakdown. It clearly influenced specific groups and senate races. As for it being two crazies if I wasnt posting via xbox - typing take to long - I can name over a dozen with same view off top of my head - VP Ryan for starters.

Gay marriage like interracial marriage for most part is voted on by the people.

Christian fundementalism is not a myth. For proof watch Jesus camp, read Redstate, watch fox news annual war on Xmas, Israel policy, abortion doc shootings , polls of Christians beliefs and the fact people think man rode Dinosaurs on 9000 year old Earth Museum and belief of it.

And as for equal pay it about - for example - man makes same shoes as woman , both pairs identical and took them same amount of time to complete. Man is paid $25 and woman $20. Thats not fair and needs to be fixed.

Oh, and yeah, the thing about nuclear power? For some reason, Yucca Mountain and its failure to launch has put a hold to any further construction.

The thing that makes this patently absurd is Yucca Mountain is even necessary. France has been generating 75% of their power with nuclear for about 40 years now. The entirety of their nuclear waste can fit beneath the floor of a room at one of those plants. Why? Because they actually do the smart thing and reprocess most of that "waste" into usable fuel once more.

You know why we don't that? Because the idiot public got spooked after Three Mile Island, and Jimmy Carter thought rogue nations could somehow use our reprocessed fuel to build a bomb.

GG, America. GG.

I loved that movie! My favorite part of that movie was when they blessed all their A/V equipment to prevent Satan from causing a technical failure and silencing their message. XD

Gay marriage bit missing whole part bad xbox.

Is meant to say it was voted on by people but in some cases like interracial marriage federal/court must get involved to address it.

This. If Obama was going for the Jimmy Carter repeat like he seemed to be doing, he could have at least ended it the same way.

Of course Obama is seen as cool unlike Carter, and Romney isn't 1/10 as inspirational as Reagan.

We had to sit through ten years of stagflation, starting with Nixon's first term and running through Ford and Carter, before the economic winds blew Reagan into power.

Perhaps it was foolish to hope that we might only have to sit through four years of Barack.
