Is the ultimate edition compatible with a windows 8 system?
The microsoft site listing what is and isn't playable says that Origins and Awakening are fine, but the Ultimate Editon of the game has a red listing and says it is not compatible. Hmm?
Please, is Ultimate Editon going to run on a Win 8 machine?

The UE worked fine for me (Win8/64-bit). 
Played Leliana's Song as a test, since I didn't want to have to go through the CC-phase and the origin storyline for the umpteenth time!
