If there is only going to be one race to play as, you bet it will be human as they are the easiest to relate to. Elves and dwarves will come back if Bioware decides they want to bring back the multiple race choice again, which I don't believe is out of the question, just not happening for Dragon Age 3. 4 and beyond maybe, but from what I heard 3 is set.

 If you want to play as something other then human you will have to go through the game controlling the non human companions

Playng as a human is the reason I will probably not buy the game. If it was another game, it would not bothered me too much (well...probably I will not even look at it, but still...) for now, I just look around the forum just to know how is andled the grey Warden thing.
I'm just curious about what happened to my Elf Warden.

Yes, i definitely agree with you Archangel rogue, we need at least +one more race to play(elf race in this case is perfect .... I would really like to play kossind-mage too, but it is almost impossible in this case)........because that is just not right for RPG with multiple races....and for Dragon age this is not make any sense

And I think many other people also do not want to play another really boring and stupid  human clone of Hawke/Shepard... ...especially in Dragon Age, where you have many opportunities to be something more than this.

and people, customization in DA 3, on their engine will not be cooler than Saints Raw: The Third(and where we have to choose from 7 voices for protag),  then what is the problem?)))

But can understand the reasons behind being limited to human in this game and am fine with it.

....in games where there is a non-human race, they are chosen by most of all ... remember the same TES-game series(i played from Arena for Skyrim, and I know very well it is)....remember Baldur Gate,Newerwinter game series, and the others multiraces RPG

if most of people really prefer to play only human, then there would be other races)))

I don't care that much. The only game where I don't play human is Skyrim, where I played Khajiit. I'm not against having the option present, but I probably won't use it, and I don't really care that it's not present right now.
