A quote for you all;
"[the game] has always presented a cinematic linear story for players, what we wanted to do was offer much more player choice than ever before. There's branching storylines that we're introducing, which means the choices players make will at times have a significant impact on the narrative.
"Players will have key members of their team that could be in life-or-death situations that they can make a choice on, based on what's going on in the world. And the outcome of the future...is affected by the decisions that you make and the gameplay that you take on."
Mark Darrah giving us an insight into the development direction of DA3? You could be forgiven for thinking so.
It's actually a quote from Mark Lamia, studio head of the developers behind the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series, explaining how criticisms of low player agency will be addressed in the next game in the series.
So after all those criticisms that Bioware were chasing the Call of Duty crowd, time to take an irony pill. Call of Duty is now taking lessons from Bioware.
Where's my hat? I think I might have to eat it.
Significant choices: Bioware rules OK?
