That depends on if it is the FIRST heavy snow of the year or not. At least here in Nova Scotia, everything goes NUTS for the first heavy snow, then people relax and remember how to drive in it.

Most of them, anyway...

Lol, same on the west coast.  I just moved to Alberta though, people seem more capable here.

That photo does not do it justice. It's pretty darn snowy. It is not very cold, just very nice snow. Other than the bad roads it's one of those lovely billowy snow falls.

It's the stuff that when present in quantites of one millimetre or less (melting on contact with any pavement) causes the entirety of Houston to declare an emergency and shut down for the day.

I've lived in Winnipeg (AKA: Winterpeg, home of the -40 degrees before windchill weather) before, so you'll have to forgive me if I'm not impressed by the current snowpile there. Come on, I thought Albertians were tougher than that.  Throw on those three pairs of long johns and get to it!

j/k, drive safely and all of that. Do you guys use salt in that weather, or move right onto superior sand on the roads?

It's already alomst 6PM here, I wake up at 4AM to do a 12 hour shift. When I get home, this N7 day will be over... Well, another 4-hour sleep for me...

Are you implying there are places that DON'T shut down the moment they see any precipitation other than rain?

Same in Saskatchewan, first snow everyone seems to have forgotten how to drive in the stuff! Of course we did have freezing rain first and then snow, now talk about fun!
Love the Edmonton base hazzard though! Love to see more Canadian based maps...Can you do a Regina one you could have indoctrinated Riders chasing everyone in the snow...oh what the heck add in some polar bears just for fun...well maybe gophers would be better as we are just a bit to south for the bears.
