So what months are fall for those outside of America?
Seriously?
The same as they are for the rest of the Northern Hemisphere.
Let's not be so partial in our country-hate, eh?

Hey whoa! Pack a day smoker here. I may not have 10 years! Late 2013 or early 2014 please

This isn't news. Late 2013 was mentioned with the initial announcement.
Yep and Sept to Dec is about as late 2013 as you can get before hitting 2014.

I have no idea how one wouldn't, seeing as how someone like me who's woefully unaware of the Southern Hemishpere, knows that it's the opposite of the North, but fine. Sorry if I jumped down your throat there.

If dwarves can wait centuries for amazing armour, I think we can wait a decade or two for an amazing game.bhsup wrote...

And Fall is a best guess at the moment. The game has been in the works since the end of DA2, and things are going well, but it will take as long as it needs to. Fall next year (sometime between Sept & Dec) is a good guess, but it could be longer if it needs it.
Best news I've heard so far.

Aren't the seasons just reversed, or am I insane? If it's Winter in the northern hemisphere, it's Summer in the southern. If it's Fall in the northern, it's Spring in the southern. Right? Or am I going senile?
You're exactly right. It's not complicated at all and it's pretty universal knowledge.

No, you're not going senile.
However Bioware is based in Canada --- well out in Canada's western provinces as it is. And that's probably why Fall 2013 means sept - dec. 2013.
Btw, delighted to hear that if the game takes longer to make, the game will get the time it needs to be made. It'll be done - when it is done then. Which will mean ---- soon, sooner or soonish

So does this mean DA3 will be on this gens consoles?
Unless the production cycle of the next gen consoles is DRASTICALLY stepped up from current market predictions, I would err on the side of yes, current gen consoles.

Um, not all English speakers refer to Autumn as Fall. That's probably why he was confused. Autumn is the universal term. Fall isn't.

Given the change of engine I'm thinking it could actually be a launch window title for the new consoles. Or, perhaps, released on both current-gen and next-gen ones simultaneously.
I'd be interested to see what happens, for me the timing suggests DA3 will squeak into the period after the launch of new consoles in 2013, so it could well be in production for those.

Sounds to me like they just didn't want to leave any room for speculation on bow short the development cycle will be. When was DAII released? Two years was way too short before and they're even using a whole new game engine this time. Allow me to formally predict disaster resulting from this release date.
DA2 was released 16 months after DAO, however the last DAO dlc was released 5-6 months before DA2, so i am not sure how much of the work was devoted to DA2 within them 16 months.
