I don't want pizza i want story DLC.

So play Omega if you want the story of Omega.

There is no story in Omega, the story is reapers the Intelligence and Leviathan’s.

How do you know what's in the DLC, do you have it already.

What does 'no story' even mean, because I doubt you shoot people for four hours and then it ends.

Forced squaddie stuff sounds poor.
The implied fact there is no choice but to support a vicious thug like Aria in retaking Omega sounds poor.
The seeming character assassination of wonderful General Petrovsky.
Really hope i'm wrong and that the story is actually decent and complex and not just a railroaded piece of garbage.

Not entirely fair to say they haven't listened in this particular example. There have been fan requests for female Turians and Aria as a squadmate for a while now (since ME1 for the former, since ME2 for the latter). So they clearly did listen to those fan requests, they just didn't listen to all fan requests. And Leviathan was a pretty good dlc that did allow you to take your squad along and had new dialogue for them (which is already better than any ME2 dlc). Where's the harm in them trying something different for different bits of content?

Also, while I still don't know whether I'll purchase Omega (will have to see how the story seems) , I thoroughly enjoyed the Kasumi dlc for ME2 even though you couldn't choose your squad; and LotSB was fantastic even though you had to take Liara along for most of it and whoever else had absolutely no new dialogue whatsoever; and Overlord which had mute squaddies was also fun. Normandy crash site was very atmospheric too, and no squaddies at all there. The only one I didn't like was Arrival, and it wasn't because I wasn't able to take my team along.

It is also perfectly possible to 'give the dlc a chance' without forking out a tenner for it. Just check it out on YouTube first. If the first few minutes looks enjoyable to you then make a purchase; if not, then don't bother. Reading reviews etc also helps. It really isn't at all difficult to be a smart consumer these days :)

Story means that every minute Shepard spends doing silly missions there are millions of people dying in our galaxy from many different planets so any mission not directly connected to the plot should be left for other NPC’s.

Also i don’t want to be fighting Cerberus troops, we are fed up with them.

1. Please  tell me  why I would I buy dlc when  cant  even  play with  the squadmate I want to play with ? Why should I  even bother giving it a chance ?

I don't know, why did you play Overlord and LotSB?

I was able to pick my squad mated  and ther ewas some interaction  onbe of them was  Miranda  even on the playthoughs  when  I  was  with Ashley she was not  a LI. From  what  i have found out  OMEGA dosnt give  you the option to choose even  one  squadmate  to take with you.

Um what? The squadmates where mute in all ME2 dlc.

Bulls**t, I remember Miranda making a noise or muttering a single recylced word.

That been said, games are meant to improve on each other.

A logical improvement for DLC in Mass effect 3 is to actually include dialogue for the squad.
Saying it was the same in ME2 and settling that it reasonable to expect everything to stay the same is idiotic at best.

Leviathan included new dialogue for the squad, and you were able to choose which squadmembers to take, so there was definite progression from ME2 there.

Omega will include plenty of squad dialogue I'm sure, you just don't get to choose the squad. :P

Also, dialogue that has clearly been recycled is just as annoying as no dialogue, imo.

One thing I don't understand it...Aria says she has issues with some of your squadmates...WHAT issues?!

Tali - Don't know...she doesn't like quarians? Thats her issure?
Garrus - Okay he was archangel and she probably knows that...and she doesn't want him get more knowledge on omega.
Kaidan/Ashley - Uhhh...they never met?
Liara - Ooookayyy...they met in comic but it was about search for Shepard's body..what issues could she have with her?
Edi - They don't even know each other...
Vega - Okay in one comic he had a fight in a bar but he doesn't have anything to do with Aria.
Javik - What issues with him?

Point is: Aria tells you she has issues with your squadmates but in reality the only issue would be with Garrus.
This means: BW either didn't waste resources on dialoque for existing squadmates or they had so great idea they needed both Aria and Nyreen to be in your party.

We don't know when they recorded them lines.
Chances are it was back during work on EC or when they did their lines for ME3.

I will wait for the next DLC after Omega to see if they actually bother to have squad dialogue.

You may well be right, but why does it matter when the new dialogue was recorded? If it's new to the people listening to it, then it's new. Even if Leviathan is the only piece of ME3 dlc to feature specially recorded squadmate VO (which would be disappointing, yes), then it still shows a progression over ME2 because there was NO specially recorded VO for existing squadmates for ME2 in any dlc at all.

Eh, regardless, I'm waiting until I hear that the story is decent before I purchase Omega or indeed any other ME3 dlc. I guess I prioritise that over squad banter. Different strokes and all that :)

Edit: Oooh, pyramid-tastic! =]

Its too expensive to get all the VA's in to do DLC, if they plan in advance they can do it in the same sessions as the main game but people cry foul when they do that, Leviathon benefitted from EC pulling everyone back into the studio

i dont understand how you expected things any different, these threads about returning squadmates, being a hub etc etc were created leading up to leviathan just to be let down when it was a rail roaded few hours of action. Omega will be no different, it's pointless dlc and it's pointless thinking bioware listen when in reality they cherry pick which suits there needs rather than what would make the game better. Ignore what priestly said as of course his gonna say it's big and great......pre release quotes anyone. come on wake up.

It's nice to see that people loved mute squad this much :D I would rather have new temporary squad mates for every DLC than those zombies that followed me trought ME2 DLC's. Am I little disapointed that we can't have another "Leviathan"? Yes, but this is still better than what ME2 did. And no, I don't count that 1 recycled line that was in Lotsb, they were mute, claiming that they aren't is just nitpicking.

I'd much prefer the choice of squadmates(ideally with new dialogue) but if not with recycled dialogue
Anything is better than the idea that player choice is a disease to be scourged out by forced squaddies and railroaded plots.

I don't see how expecting more than what we got in LofSB or any other DLC is crazy when Omega is the most expensive DLC. I usually don't expect to pay more for just the same

I admit to not actually reading through all of that, but I will say that I share your lack of interest in Omega.

No squad, no sale.

If it doesn't correct the travesty of an ending, then no sale. I will admit, being able to have a dragon mount and fly to a new setting is interesting...wait, that's Dragonnborn. That's where my DLC money is going. Some game companies remember that they're game companies.

skyrim was such a mess of a game traded it in months ago had no story or soul just lifeless for me it did look nice tho till you walked up a mountain with your horse and harf of the horse was glitching into the hill side Image IPB
