It's amazing they listen to you guys at all, I know I wouldn't.

To be fair, I wouldn't count the Extended Cut DLC if that's what you're doing, as it was more or less just a 'hotfix' if you will, or more like a band-aid over the (gaping) wound that the original ending created for the whole story. 

And yes, it is perfectly fair to refer to the endings that way because no matter how vocal some BioWare supporters may be, the people who liked it are in the minority.  The overall reaction to the ending of ME 3 was, in fact,  negative and resulted not only in multiple petitions but a legitimately filed FTC complaint.  That pretty much cements the deal.

I do want to touch on one other thing you said, which is about how it's amazing they listen at all.  Given some of the things said, I can partially understand the sentiment however one thing they DO need to listen to is numbers and sales are dropping.  I won't come here and insult anyone however I (who previously couldn't wait to pre-order a BioWare game or buy their DLC and got everything the minute it released) *will* stop spending my money on their games.   I already haven't bought Leviathan, and if the reaction to Omega is similar to that of Leviathan, I won't be buying that, either.  Considering my opinion seems to be that of the a rather sizable amount of BioWare's fanbase these days if these boards and various gaming sites are to be believed, that's going to do plenty of damage.

My thought exactly. I would have preferred full voiced squadmates as in leviathan, but two new temporary squadmates (with new powers and hopefully interesting personalitiese and backstories which will unravel during the dlc) are in any case better than mute, passive,  zombies squadmate as in me2 dlcs.

I still don't get it. why should we expect this DLC to be just like ME2's DLCs if it's more expensive?

Then you shouldn't buy it? Nobody forces you to buy every single DLC (especially because more war asset points are pointless). I didn't buy the "From the Ashes" DLC because the content doesn't interest me.

If you *really* want to get your point across, don't buy it.

Too many people know exactly what it is but grudingly buy it anyway because they love Shepard or the story so much...then complain, but wonder why the same stuff they keep complaining about is being released.

It's been quite obvious from the get-go that Bioware just can't win with some people no matter what. They like to complain for the sake of complaining. And the OP seems to be a good ambassador of this fad.....Hilarious

But by the same token, why should those who like Aria be denied content for the sake of those who do not? After all, the option is there for those who dislike her to simply not buy the dlc; whereas if the dlc was never made in the first place, then those who do like the character would have no options at all ...

Your're assuming is the same people asking for things and complaining for those things, something which remains to be probed.

Or what if you could bring your squadmates, but they remain mute, like in pretty much all other DLCs barring leviathan? At least we get 2 new squaddies that talk now... way better than the alternatives, but of course its not enough for you people. Nothing is.

Exactly this. Which should in turn answer your question OP. You aren't the only customer they have. If its not to your taste, you absolutely should save your money. Meanwhile, other players who could care less about Ashley but would love the above will buy it. But they may not have been interested in previous offerings and saved their money then.

The reason it has to be other squadmates then the standard 6(?) is because you have to choose between the two squadmembers and who survives. If it were your standard squadmembers, everyone would choose them over Aria.. Except for maybe Vega.
