@ ABF, You should be, it's amazing what a game studio can do with DEVELOPMENT TIME!

It does look good, I care a lot about the game so I have been avoiding spoilers.
Usually I don't care when hearing spoilers about games I don't care about.

I have to go 7 months of being spoiler free.Image IPB

im saving this $15 and put it towards my preorder to fallout 4. thats a good RPG/shooter hybrid. i dont think id DL omega if it was free. actually ill put it towards halo 4. that game looks like its adding a deeper story not CoD elements.

my interest in the ME video games has dwindled to nothing more then me posting a few "but the ending is dumb" comments on some random topics in here.

It's funny, because I hadn't played Halo 2 and 3 in like years, so I'd forgotten most about it. I never finished Reach, but was still expecting something good. But geez. It was fantastic.

EDIT - 7 MONTHS! WHY?

@ GT - I know exactly what you mean! ugh! But it's okay, because it had a good story.

Because some of us like Aria and like a change of pace once in a while? They never hid the fact that the DLC has to do with Omega and that Aria is a prominent character in it. If you don't like pizza then don't show up for pizza day, but don't be mad that the restaurant is having a pizza day for people who like pizza.

I don't want pizza i want story DLC.

It indicates a clear lack of choice in the DLC.  We get new temporary teammates and yet the ones we really were made to care about before are treated like crap again.  Sure, I like Aria.  But Omega is quickly being made out as so pointless as to be laughable.  LOTSB added a lot to the game in a lot of ways.

Telling people not to show up for pizza day may well mean the restaurant that decides to sell nothing but pizza on pizza day may have "no customer" days in their future.  I'm not threatening, I'm just stating a reality.  The more BW keeps limiting fan choice, the fewer fans will be interested.  Leviathan was supposed to have a new hub.  Playing Leviathan you were made to feel (though we knew this would not happen) that the Leviathans would be of some importance at the end.  They were non-existent.

Sure, you can play the content just for its own sake, but then in the broader context of the game, it means nothing.  Oh, except Aria made it off of the citadel so that later on she can either die, have green eyes, or be faced with reapers and reaper variants that won't allow her to run Omega as she's used to doing.  This gets better and better.

We'd get to have Elite and Spartan LIs in the next Halo?

Doesn't mean you have to spend them on Omega.

Especially with Halo4 out now.. Damn that games good.

Just sayin'.

Yes it is.  Wild.  But ME was good in a different way up till especially the ME3 endings.

lol they already have. They've taken me away from it. Right now, Haloverse > MEverse.

The only thing that will turn that around is some proof that BioWare care about their lore. Because so far they have shown the opposite, evidence in ME3 endings and this..

Anyway, going to play Halo multiplayer. Probably wont get Omega now, unless the reviews are beyond great. Which I doubt.

Yes, from the moment you get control of Masterchief. To the moment you are back at the main menu. All around amazing. 343 did a wonderful job of continuing the Haloverse. It felt fresh and rejuvenated.

There's more wrong with ME3 than just that ending. The game as a whole is flawed.

Indeed, ME3 is only a servicable Gears clone with spellcasting(if you ignore the no content fedex quests) and the story is abysmal from start to finish.

Agreed, that's why I said "especially".  I just wasn't going to rehash the horrific mess that is the beginning (a lot of horrid dialogue and the whole situation), the crucible (it's impossible to do this any other way than to have some big master unknown device that everyone works to create), the fetch quests, the kid (in the flesh and glowy versions), the bugs (head turns that still are a mess in places), the failure in several instances to remember the story that came before, the affirmation of a renegade type character only (put the thing on no choices with a more paragon character and the game itself will choose renegade answers for you as well you get some higher EMS for actually doing renegade things), auto-dialogue, lack of a green choice except at the end, unanswered or you guess it plot points (what the hell was Liara's gift-ok sure you are supposed to make it up, but it's supposed to be meaningful), the phone calls to friends while they are presumably in the middle of fighting (to say goodbye?), repetitive dialogue that is overused or misused (EDI tells my Shepard she's alive because of her but then is now really alive in synthesis - ok, I chose it as a test and wanted to vomit), Cerberus and more Cerberus - also the change to TIM.  The turret guns, especially the one on Earth.  The lack of heavy weapons - I liked these in ME2, but now have to find some laying around and their use is mostly just limited to one plot point and not free use.  The stupid, time delaying tactic (to make the game seem longer) of the scanner on the Normandy - also some doors that take forever to open for the same reason.  There's more, and this is just a small portion of course.

This Omega DLC is a ripoff.

The Kasumi DLC cost 560 microsoft points= $7 bucks, and we got to KEEP Kasumi.
Omega DLC is twice as much and we cant keep anyone.

This is a MASSIVE ripoff.

im with you on this , Halo4 is mindblowingly good, my time here and with ME is as good as done and only novelty and habit make me come here,my hairs stood up n the back of my neck when cortana said " wake up chief"out of his cryo state, im about halfway through as doing it on legendary, havent done the MP yet as want to complete it first.......But 343 my hats off to them, took on a massive franchise and gave it a new lease of life. Hopefully one day ME gets that treatment. and more importantly shepard gets treated better.

I don't get you people. You ask for a different ending, boom there it was. You asked for leviathan boom there it was. You asked for omega and there it was. You asked for collectors and a biotic god, also there.

Developing stuff takes time. Who is to say they aren't planning updated romances and take back earth remake.

I don't get you. Specifically, how dumb you are! :)

We didn't get a new ending. We didn't get Leviathan (we just found him...turns out he does absolutley nothing and it worthless). We don't get Omega either; we just go there, kill some bad guys, and leave forever.

What new ending? Refuse? That isn't an ending, its a nonstandard game over screen.

I've beaten ME 1&2 about 10/25 times respectively. I've finished ME 3 twice. Pre EC, post EC Insanity Run. Sadly, the series commited suicide with it's artistic integrity intact (insert snicker here Priestly) and this DLC is overpriced CoD type combat with no further development of story. That for me is a fail.

I remember in ME 1 where we might slightly bored because we had to listen to a certain story element again, especially on playthrough #3 and on hehe... Well, ME 3 sure fixed that issue. I swear to god, my first playthrough, I picked Synthesis because, and ONLY because, I was so mind-numbed by the sudden turn of events I just shambled forward, unsure of what to do somehow. That's sad Bioware.

And I think we're done here. That's enough gnashing of teeth and stamping of feet for one thread.

End of line.
