Under XBox Live Achievement Progress Dragon Age is not listed as complete even though i did the full 1000 points. Does that mean one needs to finish the DLC for it to show up there? I thought DLC is never mandatory...

At some point it became mandatory for the "complete" screen. It's that way for all Xbox games now.

This game got 1100 achievement points and the dlc achievements are needed to "complete" the game.

But what if a new DLC comes out at some point, shouldn't the game get deleted from the list?

Which DLC counts and which doesn't? It makes the whole thing very untransparent (generally speaking).

That's exactly what happens now.

When new content is released, any formerly "complete" games drop off the list. You need to buy the new content and get the new achievements to get back to "complete" status.

All DLC with acheivements cause this for all games right now. Since two DLCs were available at release for Dragon Age, there was never any way to get "complete" without buying both of them.

You might finshed them before any DLC were released?

I did but NerfTW just said that when new DLC comes out the formerly "complete" games drop off the list. I'm confused...

Why confused? It is Microsoft.

Then I guess I'm wrong, because I could have sworn what I said had just started happening recently. Since I don't have any games "complete" that I didn't buy DLC for, I don't know.

I have Assasins Creed 2 with only one simple Achievement left, and some DLC coming, so I could check that.

edit- I think I remember what happened. It was the last DLC for
Fallout 3 where I saw this. I suppose if you buy the DLC, it goes off
your complete list. That must be what happened. I just didn't notice
that it happened after I bought the DLC and not before.

Did you use the Shale or Warden's Keep DLC codes?

Some of the decisions M$FT has made with regard to displaying game status are annoying. I have some games shown on my games played list that are demos.

They only drop off the list if you play the games again, because your 360 is updated with the new DLC achievements. If you haven't played the game since then it won't update and the game will stay on the complete list (but only on your 360, completing a game %100 includes the DLC).
