If synthesis is so amazing, shouldn't be hard to convince people to do it, right?
Nope. Bandwagon Fallacy.

Put it like this:
If synthesis is so amazing, shouldn't be hard to convince people to do it, right?
Or do you believe that synthesis and non-synthesis people can't coexist, and that any non-synthesis people would need to be synthesized against their will for their own good? Because that sounds really familiar
The person I was speaking to was speaking about the delivery mechanism. As for the consequences of the choices... well, again, if I'm being lied to, it's safe to assume that it wants me dead and that every option will kill me, so I have nothing to lose by any option. In any case, I don't think it'd call me up to it or speak to me at all if it wanted me dead, as it's the only reason I see an option to do anything at all.spotlessvoid wrote...

We're arguing the consequences of the choices, not the absurdity of the delivery mechanism (which is only relevant as a pro IT argument)

Criminy. What's up your ass today?
I don't lay out whole arguments and walls-of-text in every single exchange I have with a forumite. Never have. That would be long, tediuous, and highly inefficient. I let on more facts and arguments as people care to get more involved into conversation.
No point in giving a whole big post response if I get no follow-up, so I tend to keep my posts succinct to start off.
Problem?

Was the second part of that post two difficult to answer HYR?

That's some really disingenuous, groan-worthy logic. Control and Synthesis require you to wilfully commit suicide via vaporization. Destroy requires you to shoot a suppression device that is preventing the Crucible from firing.Xilizhra wrote...

It requires me to shoot something, but I have no way of telling what it is just by looking. It requires me to trust the Catalyst to do so. And again, it didn't have to turn itself on to speak to me, or to accurately direct me to which target to shoot, or anything, really, if you assume that it's lying. That's some really disingenuous, groan-worthy logic. The ending fired my head out of a cannon all right.
I think you'll all be impressed with me when I say that my head gets fired out of a cannon in all three endings, not just Synthesis like OP. So I clearly have you all beat. Furthermore, once fired, my head struck the fourth wall at a terminal velocity of 300 miles per hour. Clearly superior. The thousands of other heads that struck that wall only achieved 200 mph, tops, and their splatter radius was a mean 1.2 meters compared to my staggering 2.4 meters. Here again I am superior.
