Anyway, I think they did fix the problem of Imports not recognizing romances if from awakening, at least for my red-haired bard they did.
Zevran surviving is fine for me, due to the fact that I never kill him.

Yes, the import confirms he is dead, but what happens if we ever reference the Warden Commander and the Hero of Ferelden? We need a special import mechanism to address these solutions and I think another thread had the perfect example: An interactive storybook recap of save import information that the player can address line by line and perhaps rebuild their Wardens in a character creator if they are to appear in game. That would be awesome.

edit - I think that in order to import Witch Hunt successfully, it has to be patched, then the end sequence must be replayed so that the game autosaves right bedore the final credits. After that, import the final autosave into DA2. Also I started typing up my post before Yalision replied - I'm not sure what impact importing an Ultimate Sacrifice Warden into DA:A has on DA2.

I think the only import bug that hasn't been fixed is that Nathaniel is treated as dead if he wasn't in your final party in DA:A, regardless of whether he lived or died. However, all the other import bugs have apparently now been fixed - even Zevran and Witch Hunt now import correctly, or so I'm led to believe.

Well there is a screenshot capping the choices as they were imported into Dragon Age 2. He is read by DAII to be dead, but I imagine references will be confused in the game. I put the save up hoping someone might play the game and tell me about their impressions, but no luck so far. I don't have a desire to play Dragon Age II given its cliffhanger ending with no real resolution. Maybe once we get more information on DAIII I will have the drive to finally buy the DLC and replay the game.

Seeing as how Bioware said they were going to fix the import bugs which cause things like not recognizing romances, boons, or who lived and died, but apparently never did, how is the import thing going to behave if the Warden and Hawke return but the save game imports are so bugged that they pretty much create an alternate character as a result of these bugs. Why weren't these bugs fixed
I want the bug (on XBox 360; I can's speak for the PC version) where my male dwarf who I romanced with Zevran is referred to as "she", not only in the epilogue to Awakening, but also in Dragon Age 2.
I'm all for BioWare including a save file transfer editor so that we can go over out decisions (at least the major or semi-important one) and fix any ones that were not flagged correctly.
