Thedas is actually Earth a million years after Citadel's destruction. The different races are the descendents of the citadel races that were stranded on Earth. Salarians became elves, Krogans became the Qunaris, human turned into dwarfs, the Raccni became the dragons, and Turians and quarians just died out. And Asari are the human now. Or... whatever.

We'll find out in DA3 that they've discovered an old power, which is a Reaper beacon, and that Flemeth is indoctrinated.

And maybe Jade Empire is happening on the other side of the planet.:innocent:

I instantly and completely believe this and cannot be dissuaded from foaming at the mouth in excitement and everything Bioware actually does will forever pale in comparison to this.

You are wrong. DA and ME are in two different dimensions that are somehow connected. And they subtly influence each other. Shepard is actually the singular manifestation of the DA heroes. In ME she/he defeated Sovereign, which was the Archdemon. In DA2 he/she fought Cerberus while Hawke struggled with the mages/templars. In DA3 the protag will fight struggle against Flemeth and her evil plot to revive the dragons because Flemeth is ACTUALLY Harbinger and she's trying to revive giant killing thingies for the ultimate good of humanity. XD

While chained to my work desk today, I blissfully fantasized about a possible Dragon Age/Mass Effect crossover. I imagined a Barrier to the Expedition Peaks-style adventure where a Geth ship from the ME Galaxy crashlands on Thedas and a party of adventurers is sent to investigate, only to discover the darkspawn got there first and recovered one of the Dragon's Teeth in the wreckage. You can guess where it goes from there …

Makes sense.
If DA is after ME, then the mirrors teleport you to the past and Morrigan is the mother of the first Leviathan.

Oh, good. I was starting to wonder if shipping Orsino x Zaeed and Aveline x Mordin was a little too much even for me.

Ya, and after the Veil falls and unleashes the Fade into Thedas, the world shifts and becomes Spira. Everyone bursting into pyreflies is just what happens in the post-Fade world. Spira lasts for a good 1 billion years, humanity only living about 1.5 million of those years; they finally got destoryed by a big evil crystal monster. Which then of course branches into the Star Trek universe.... somehow.

I wondered why the Leviathans were such a bunch of egoistic arrogant bastards who needed a good shanking.

But Morrigan isn't/wasn't an arrogant bastard (or ****). Doesn't mean she doesn't need a good shanking though. ;)

On topic (is this a topic?): that explains a lot. Merrill must be a direct decendant of Tali then! Also, Merrill is clearly a half-elf and Alistair is actually a full human. ;)

The idea isn't as farfetched as it seems. For example, in the 'Adept Series' novels by Piers Anthony, the story is set between a realm of science and technology and another realm of fantasy with magic and all the rest and how the worlds get connected with people crossing over. Its a terrific series and well worth reading. It probably wouldn't work out that well with ME and DA, but ever since I saw the DA troll statue in the Kasumi dlc for ME2, I've wondered about it every now and then.

So for shirts and giggles, how does this sound?
*me3 spoilers*
Its the end of ME3 and you get the one second clip of Shepard taking a breath......only then to awaken in a strange land smelling of wet dog and cabbage. Let Grunt come along too. He has always wanted a dinosaur and whats better than a dinosaur? A dragon that breaths fire and can fly you all over the realm headbutting your way to glory. Just think how happy he would be if this were to come to pass.

Uh, I think you're confusing Arlathan, the actual Elf homeland with a Ferelden arling there.

Also this reminds me a lot of a troll thread with the same idea from about a year ago where the OP said theyre from the same universe based on the fact that the moon in DA:O looks like the planet Klendagon.

I actually made a thraed about that.. 2 years back, maybe?....made me wonder about a few options.

-Thedas exists in the ME universe, and some explorer stumbled upon it, managed to freeze an ogre, and somehow Donovan Hock got his hands on it.

-Or, Thedas is the planet that mission takes place (kasumi's loyalty mission, Ofcourse) a long, long time ago.

- Or, It's just a creature look-a-like.

Okay, I'll bite. Two quick questions about the asari/humans though:

1). Where did their blueness go?
2). How did they suddenly start sprouting penises?
