And whoever designed it really needs to have their credentials and/or their brain verified.

Pre-patch, Geth were irritating, but you had a couple of consolations (namely no sync-kill units and that you couldn't be staggered while running or performing another animation, like reviving, getting an objective, doing a dodge roll, etc.)

So after months of people complaining about Geth stunlock, how it was cheap, frustrating and made the Geth very annoying to play... the mensa candidates on the design team thought that it would be a good idea to... add MORE stunlock? And stunlock of the very WORST type too? The combat drone's incinerate power will stop you mid-revive, and the precious stunlock immunity you received from running or performing an action can also be taken away at a moment's notice by the attack.

So you're running along, thinking 'Yes I've managed to start running, I can't be stunlocked for the moment', then a combat drone shoots you, you do an absurd-looking, absurdly long stagger animation and by the time it's finished you're stunlocked by sniper prime shots from across the map as well as cheating missile glitching rocket troopers and Geth Hunter shots/elbows.

Seriously, which game designer could look at a forum FILLED with people complaining for months on end about how bad the stunlock mechanic is, and then decide to design and put in place a unit that makes said stunlock twice as bad? This baffles me. And it's incredibly disappointing. One quarter of the game is entirely broken and the devs have not said or done a thing about it. Why?

Changes I want to see:

Decrease Prime RoF/Accuracy and lower chance to stun from 100%
Remove stagger from combat drone attack
Remove Geth Rocket Trooper Stagger
Fix double/triple/quadruple rocket scumbag missile glitching rocket troopers
Fix hunters shooting you while staggered/stasised/frozen/on the floor etc.

That would make Geth reasonable to play against.

Scumbag Rocket Trooper disagrees with my post.

You don't want to side with Scumbag Rocket Trooper, do you?

Yes it's a cool story, brought to you by bro inc. Sure, I need to go back 2 bronze, etc.

cool story needs more stunlock.

( yes, adding stunlock on top of stunlock to balance stunlock was stupid)

Or just don't play geth, they're the worst faction not because of stunlock but because they're a bunch of boring-ass machines.

 They implement a mechanic that doesn't affect people in cover... in order to stop people from abusing a map where they can take cover forever and never get flanked?

or you could just stay in cover or out of range?
either works wonderful and if you need to revive someone, then clear the stunners first.
like > Demolisher > throw arc nade at corpse > free seconds to revive.
Unless your awesome squaddie decided to run into the main force like a rtard.

It's so easy to not get stunlocked that there's no issue.
The geth are fine as they are, could use some more primes.

How about you go away if you don't provide anything useful to the topic, troll, or give a reason with some statements of why.

Are you kidding me, how are you people evne managing to get stunlocked, ever since they slowed the respawn rate of the drone and slowed the geth hunter's attack there is no such thing as stunlocking.
I only play silver and gold though, dunno if you're talking about plat.

I don't think it's really a stunlock at all. It straight up staggers you like a melee would.

Hahahaha, yeah, okay, it's easy to avoid the stunlock inflicted by:

-Hunters
-Bombers
-Rocket Troopers
-Primes
-Combat Drones
-any melee attack

Pretty much the only Geth unit that can't stunlock you to hell and back is the basic Trooper...and that's only outside of melee range.

Geez I'd never thought of that, usually when going for revives I just run out into the open like an idiot, particularly if I have arc grenades on me.

For me it's on par with spacebar-to-do-everything-guy as the herpiest derp that ever derped.

I would rather that they had a sync kill and just got rid of this nonsense.

While I have played for a while without noticing the great amount of stunlock mentioned, it's kind of stupid to say it's easy to avoid it. Only certain characters or certain playstyles will get away with minimal deaths by absurd amount of stunlock, and not everyone plays that way.

Point is, the vast majority find geth a pain in the arse and there's a small niche minority that doesn't have any problems at all. You and I are the minority and we should not be catered to in this case.
