Feneckus, RedJohn, me and another random guy (which I considered him good because of his UR X) we all made Collector bite dust in London but then in Ghost against Geth we bit dust.
Xcal Jay and I once wiped on Platinum/London/Geth on wave 3.

The (Geth Prime's) combat drone is a joke.

Most find it boring to camp or be forced into a particular way of playing. It's sad when Bioware acknowledges a problem with a faction and instead of fixing it introduces more problems.
Nope on your last point. We're usually getting paid no matter what, it's just I hate using excessive comsumables carrying a bad lobby or being restricted to a certain character that I know I can clinch with if things go sideways.
I wouldn't call it camping. Geth bombers make sure you can't do that. What you really can't do against geth more than any other faction is run around in the open super-aggressively (well you can if you kroguard or batarian I suppose). Instead you have to use soft-cover and be prepared to be defensively mobile. And that's OK by me. I certainly wouldn't call it boring.
I actually find it easier to clutch against geth with a bad lobby as they are easier to kite. As long as you don't get flanked by a hunter, you're OK. But what I was trying to say is that I don't find PUGs wipe more often or easily against geth when I play UUG. I find bad PUGs will wipe no matter the enemy faction, and good PUGs will win no matter the enemy faction.

Geth prime railing you from across the map is pretty obnoxious. The combat drone is bad too. Very annoying since it sees through cloak.
Double/Triple tapping rockets are just hilarious (bad)

That one... is bad. I still feel the two at the bottom of the stairwells are worse though. Those 3 hacks are all in the top 5 worst hack circles in the game no doubt... competing with the Goddess center hack, and the Rio center hack.

I would agree... that's a fair statement.
If you try to run around and stomp everything like you do with Cerberus/Reapers... Geth make you pay. They surely punish the rambo play style more than any other faction...
Seeing some of the PC clan's videos says to me that they all run the rambo style pretty often... which explains the struggles a bit more.
That said... Geth are still cheap, and the drone stunlock is out of control, not needed and made a bad problem worse.

I really would like to see BioWare comment on whether they think the magnitude of Geth stun is appropriate at this time. If they've actually played any Gold or Platinum matches against Geth, it's hard for me to imagine anyone thinking that it's where it should be.
The fact that they leave it the way it is... really tells me they don't play their own game very much. There is no way someone could confuse 'fun' with 'geth on gold/plat'. It's an exercise in patience/frustration... kinda like soloing.

Exactly. Not all playstyles/tactics should be equally valid against all enemy factions.
The cheapness is a matter of opinion of course, but it really doesn't bother me. I find playing the geth fun with a decent PUG.

Why can't Primes fire shots like Ravangers do? They are dangerous enough and will kill you if you don't find / have cover nearby, but at least they give you a chance. Getting sniped by a Prime from across the map pretty much equals death so you can drop your controller / K&M, get a drink and start bashing the Spacebar / use medigel. Soooo much fun
[edit] I don't play Geth till I can actually fight them instead of using the same cheap (game raping) tricks they use against them.

1) Remove combat Drone stagger.
2) Decrease the frequency at which the Geth Bomber shoots it's pulse attack.
3) 1 turret per Geth Prime. Those bastards can have two turrets and a drone firing at you at the same time. It's garbage. And no shooting it through walls, kthx.
But yeah, I agree. Everything the Geth have stunlock you, interrupting your attacks, preventing you from healing, etc. It's very annoying. It can be dealt with, sure, but those three things are plain retarded. The fact that a drone can stagger a Kroguard is a testament to its bad design.
I used to like to play against Geth, even with all their faults. After the patch though? Not so much.

Unfortunately so, but I'm glad you started the discussion and happy that its still generated thoughtful arguement even after some conflict. I find myself very much in agreement with you throughout the thread, although I am far too polite to be as bold and direct as you.
I used to be nice and polite like you. But then I took an erroneous strawman argument to the brain. And then some more. And some more. And some more.
And now I have very little time for it, sadly.
This is why I post so rarely. I'm scared of what may end up happening to my brain.
RE: OP - I used to solo against geth while waiting for the scrubs that are my friends to make room for me in their games. Since the patch and DLC this has just made me want to hurl my controller through my TV. When I first realised what the drone was doing to me I couldn't believe it, it made me wonder if anyone at Bioware actually ever tried playing the Geth. The bombers I don't mind when I'm not soloing, but the cheating, buggy hunters? I have no polite comments to make.
Of course if I smash my TV I'd have to play on PC and you wouldn't want that.

Oh yeah, infamous London center hack aka Russian roulette. It's also very funny when possessed scions are bombarding hack site with clusters from the other side of the map. Cheap game design again.

Combat drones are not that hard to deal with. They're weak. A few shots from anything will take of the drone and you're good. Stop complaining. There's been enough nerfing around here.
Only takes them getting off one attack to lock you into most likely a chain of stunlocks from other sources
