Very true. Though I haven't had much of a problem with Geth stunlock. I usually take care of the drone with 1-5 seconds of the Geth Prime deploying it. The one thing that does bother me is the Geth Bomber because powers only hit like 80% of the time making it tedious to get rid of. And that damn shock attack. The grenades are bad enough. But in short, take care of the drones first.

Nerfing to weapons\\powers, yes. Nerfing to the enemies, almost nonexistant.

Without a lot of stunning the geth will be so weak... Aren't they?
I mean geth is very easy if you are not stunlocked and stunlocked and stunlocked again.

I had a private profile, hence wasn't playing gold, hence my opinion wasn't worth taking seriously. That was the logic at play.

If you have a private profile... people are going to question the authenticity of your comments b/c there is no way to know for sure if you know what you're talking about. We just have to take your word for it... and on BSN, that's not really good enough.

Never understood the Private Profile anyway... what have you got to hide?

Geth were avoided Pre patch because of stunlock.

Solution: Add two "new" units that can stun you! One of them is completely silent and can stun you all the way from across the map! The other one can only stun you at short range, but is also completely silent and fast.

Someone must of mentioned bombers by now: sneak up on you like a ninja; drop payload; immediately zap/stunlock you; bombs go off.

Admittedly their stunning is not as bad as other units, but if anything else stuns you before you can get away from the ninja-stealth bombs you're soooooo toast.

It's not about epeen and you know it... it checking the source to see if the information is valid.

You know... the same reason you can't use wikipedia as a source when you write a paper for college/school.

If someone is sitting here telling us about how things are on Gold/Plat... it would seem reasonable to expect that person to have some experience on said difficulties. If said person doesn't not show their profile, but says "I play Gold all the time" then we have to take your word for it... and that's not good enough. The idiot from the first 2-6 pages who only played Silver is a perfect example.

Was going to put this in the other thread about this thread, so I will just put in the relevant bits.

The drone was supposed to have that attack at release, but it was bugged. So they fixed it in the patch. They didn't say "oh let's make the Geth more annoying!"

The next problem was that for half of the game's time since release people were farming geth and skewing the data so that it appeared that the Geth were the easiest faction... most objectives completed. And since they balance in a large part on the game data, they ramped up the Geth.

Criticizing the design of the geth faction as a whole might make some sense. No need for the "I can't believe Bioware is trollin' us, bro!" One problem is that they tried to make combat versus each faction different rather than having really only one faction, but with different named units depending on which you select. Which is why there was no melee or sync kill unit in the Geth arsenal. More slow push, ranged artillery with the Hunters and Pyros to flush units from cover.

Personally, I could do with a bit less stun, especially if it limited some of the more "cheap" feeling stuns... which mostly comes from Rocket Troopers that ripple fire several rockets in short succession, or the classic Hunter falling backwards, but still getting of a solid GPS shot, stun. Drones needed to do something so I am happy they fixed their attack from that perspective. Primes should not be able to cast turrets that aren't in their line of sight, and probably should have a bit longer cooldown on the drone casting though.

How many gold games do I need to have played before I can have an opinion? I haven't got my solo mastery banner...can I post in threads about gold solos? Its all rubbish and e-peen to me, honestly. I have a lot of respect for the guys who post videos and so forth, they're obviously very good (much better than me), but that doesn't make them automatically more right about these aspects of the game.

Trust the word of the person I'm arguing with? That does not compute.... there is no trust here. I don't know you, I don't trust you... I don't know if you have an agenda, etc. Going on your word isn't good enough, especially on the internet.

But the internet has always been like that. Its just the nature of arguing with a random person on it. To me, the quality of the argument is always as important if not more important than the authority of the person making it. And if they're unqualified/don't know what they're talking about, it'll show in the (lack of) quality.

But we're getting pretty meta here, and I think I've made a reasonable case (or at least, no one's arguing with me about it any more) regarding why I don't find the geth that problematic so I'm happy to leave it there.
