So we all know it's coming, whether you like multiplayer or not, so people might as well make the best of it.
What race, type of character, class, whichever, are you or would you be looking forward to the most.
Mine would be serabas or tevinter mages, but I'm sure there will be others as well, maybe even none conventional ones like concious darkspawn, abominations, actual demons, seekers, etc.
Are there any particular races or classes you'd look forward to playing as in the DA MP?

No. I don't play multiplayer.

Depending on how they set up classes/races, I will honestly still play as a human.

I'd like to play as a Kossith, sounds like fun.

Not really, I'm not keen for the MP section. Couldn't care less actually.

Did you try ME3's MP?

It was surprisingly fun. And when it wasn't tied into a storyline that hit both the heights and depths of storytelling quality, I could actually focus on and enjoy the gameplay.

^ That's why I was asking. No judgement, but most people who say they don't like the MP haven't really played it, if they have tried it at all.
I certainly was against until I played a few matches and just let myself have fun.

I played for two-three weeks with the demo. It was fun, but nothing exceptional, and a bit repetitive.
Of course now there are more maps, classes and races, so it might be more interesting. While I don't play MP, I like the fact that they offered all the MP content for free. I hope that if they'll do something similar in DA3, they'll release the MP content after release for free (I'd like to have the same for SP dlc, but they never did this, with some exceptions, and not for after-release dlc).

Didn't they mention that they were going to look at BG/BG2 for inspiration (I think it was the DA panel at PAX East, not sure)? Everyone seems to think that they'll just add another 'horde mode' clone like they did in ME3. Anyway, I have good memories of BG2 co-op so I wouldn't mind that myself.

I've tried to play ME3 MP.
cute. but I was bored after only one game. I did a few (like three or four) just to have better WA to see a difference in the ending (let's just not go there. sigh) MP is just not of my taste.
Maybe now with the new maps and character...who know...but I don't think I would ever became a fan of the MP.
I don't think I would play DA3, but if I ever play it, and play the MP (very very difficult) I would play my prefer character: a City Elf rogue/assassin, or a female Kossith. I'm sure I would not use a Human: first thing first, is the obligatory race of the SP (one of the mayor motives I think I will not buy DA3, but maybe I'll play it if a friend of my is going to lend me his copy...if he buy it...) and if I can have a Kossith or an Elf, why should I play a Human?

I played the ME 3 multiplayer and it was mildly entertaining for a little while but really that kind of thing isn't what I enjoy and definitely isn't what I buy a game for. If I want some online shooter co-op I'd be playing a complete game likeCoD and not an added feature. If I wanted to play a fantasy game online that's what MMORPGs are for and the only one I play is swtor which I play for the story and race options.

Seriously, why are people assuming there's going to be MP just like ME3s?
We have zilch information.

For me, I'd like to play as a Dalish First (i.e., an elven mage), followed by a dwarf rogue.
While this may be a bit off-topic, I would love to see a greater amount of appearance customization for your MP character (compared to ME's MP).

The DA team have said that, if anything, the MP component of the game would likely be more on the co-op side of the house, rather than a tacked on death match/horde mode/capture the flag type of mindless gameplay that shooter MP games are known for.
I'm hoping that is the case... although I won't be using any online component of the game, regardless. As long as the SP story remains completely divided from the MP, that is all I care about. Getting a different "race" that only acts as a different skin to play for Horde mode sounds very trite to me.

It's hard to say without really understanding what kind of multiplayer we are talking about.
Is this going to be a co-op scenario where we can play through most of the entire game together with a friend or two? If so, I'd try all the different classes, just as I would with the single player.
Or is this going to be some kind of team deathmatch or capture the flag in small maps like Forge? I imagine it would have specialized MP classes if that's the case.
Or some other sort of limited co-op levels?
