I am looking forward to the MP of Dragon Age 3, the thought of being able to play alongside my brothers in a Dragon Age game is what I always wanted to do since I played Origins.
Co-operative gameplay is a very high priority in my book so I prefer a PvE instead of PvP MP. A fully imagined co-op campaign would be my ultimate fantasy. Playing the entire SP campaign with the option of people playing as your party members and the ability to play local split screen would be exactly how I envisioned a Dragon Age MP to function. But only for a main campaign style co-op; no multiplayer based campaigns.
I realize it sounds kind of contrary to what I wrote above but I detest MP based campaigns. The kind of stories that happen during or before the SP portion have been (from my experience) very shallow in terms of character customization, and overall plot, as well as being frustratingly short.
I don't want to get a DA:I "Battles durning the War" campaign for our co-op, especially if the characters you can pick are underdeveloped walking generalizations of their respective races (ie the elf is wise and caring, and the dwarf is mean and surly) and if we are unable to customize their looks and/or we are limited to the three "human" races: the human, the short human, and the human with pointy ears.
Given the choice between a MP based campaign or a Horde Mode survival game like Mass Effect 3, I would chose the latter. Either go all the way with an all inclusive SP/MP campaign, or give us a refined version of what ME 3 has done. And regardless of which mode the Dragon Age team goes with, PLEASE give us varied races / classes to play as!
Things like:
Werewolves
Golems
Malibari Warhounds
Qunari
Sylvain (Tree Ents)
The Dragon Age universities is a vast and colorful fantasy setting, it always annoyed me that the "human" characters are to only ones we got to see it as.
