Having been unable to get a solid answer from the forums, I took it upon myself to test what the inventory limit might be for consumable bonus equipment (Ammo bonuses, Weapon bonuses, etc..). What I discovered was that the equipment inventory is coded the same way that the supplies inventory once was. There is a limit of 255 per item, however, inventory is not capped at that limit. Additional items earned will add to the inventory stock, and will continue being drawn from gear packs when purchased. However, any excess over 255 is lost when the game is closed and opened again.
Since this is the same way that supplies inventory counts used to work for things like thermal packs and medi-gels, and that was changed to be a solid cap, I wanted to know if any such change might be considered for the equipment inventory, if this might be considered a bug, or if this is deliberately working as intended.
