How Often do you Wipe When You PUG Gold?

I am wondering what the average is for people here who play Any Map/Any Enemy for gold. If you only play 1 map or 1 enemy I think that will skew the information i'm trying to collect. If you do wipe, on which wave/objective, and against which foe? I'd really like to hear people talk about their Gold PUG experiences to get a better sense of what to expect.

Will you blindly put on equipment when looking to join a lobby, or will you only wait until you find a room with a few decent people in it? Will you kick and/or leave lobby if you see certain builds or low N7 builds? What level do you typically have your character when you play? 17-20? Any information people care to share regarding their PUG gold experiences would be appreciated.

Edited to add: If you rarely wipe, is it due to the fact that you are willing/able to solo rounds when you find yourself in a weak lobby?

Edited to add: Is it common to need to use nearly all of your consumables to get through a gold PUG? Phrased differently, do you go in expecting to use most of your consumables when playing Gold PUGs?

Almost Never against geth. If I do wipe its because I was either unlucky or being stupid with a banshee or a phantom or other sinc kills. Though I tend to wipe A lot when trying new classes.

I'm pretty bad about use equipment if unless if its on plat, though if I see someone that looks good, I'll probably put on some equpment in hopes to out score them.

I Used to kick a lot more, But now I've made a habbit of refuseing to kick any one on gold or lower, On plat I'll only kick if there 120 n7 or below.

And my charcters are almost always 20, I rarely promote unless its for an event.

Almost never actually

I have to have very bad lag to fail in a Gold public game.

PS: I leave lobby inmediately if I see "Geth" on enemies...

Yesterday I had five perfect gold extractions with random people, random maps, and random enemies. Hell, one of them was Collectors/Glacier, a thing I never thought I would be able to extract on. And not just once, but TWICE on Condor, my most hated map ever.

Today we were killed on wave 5 of my first gold match, and I decided to play silver next. Not fun otherwise.

I equip my gear after joining a lobby because i don't know if i will drop in-game, the other consumables i put them when I'm in lobby.

Will you kick and/or leave lobby if you see certain builds or low N7 builds?

I don't kick people, i've carrier N7 1 through platinum for that and actually i quite enjoy it, i don't like to kick people, I explain them, "hey, the difficulty is not properly for your experience, but if you want you can stay here and you will earn more credits", also I don't kick for loadout, because I use loadouts that lot of people consider "crazy" for example Asari VAnguard + Claymore or simply Claymore + everything.

What level do you typically have your character when you play? 17-20?

I always have them at 20 because i don't like to promote, but if i promote for some reason, i would play gold or platinum anyway.

Yeah, but Red, aren't you considered one of the best in the game? I'm trying to get a sense of the "every man" of the BSN, not top 1%

I usually end up with collectors or reapers. When I go in I throw on some random decent equipment that I have a bit of a surplus of.

I play UUG almost exclusively. Extract 80-90% of the time. Will put on equipment before joining lobby (what's the point in hoarding it?). Will play just about any class. I played several games last night. Wiped JCeG in Wave 10 after the creds. Extracted LCoG, WRG, HGG, WRG, LRG, GCeG. Played Demolisher, Destroyer, QFE, HE, SI, GS.

I usually put gear and an ammo power before joining a lobby, i equip the other two slots if i get to a lobby where the other players have their consumables loaded on. I'm always level 20 (i'm not that good-- i don't need to be carried, but i do need to be part of a team) and i never kick, i'll theoretically leave if the other players are talking about missile glitching but that's never happened.

it depends on the day whether the team wipes-- on the weekends and into monday the group is usually racking up points for the weekend challenge in a gold pug game (for operation jackhammer i had two vanguards that charged a banshee) so on sat-sun-mon i wait 'till lobby to assess the team for consumable usage.

that said, my luck on tue-wed-thur is usually pretty good with gold pugs with the team making it to wave ten and finishing the objective before getting a little bit sloppy (if we wipe, it's mostly on wave ten).

Maybe 25% of the time. When the randoms start getting their asses kicked, and I see the 'quit' in their attitude... I stop caring too. I'm not going to solo waves 7-11 just because it's too hard for them. Suck it up, use Gels and Rockets... get out of the extraction zone and stop getting your ass kicked! Shoot something in the face damnit!

God forbid you get a Collectors match... usually 1-2 of them just leave the lobby, not even caring about the wasted equipment.

I'd say I extract 6.5-7/10 on pug golds

I'm definitely above average, but sometimes I try crazy things or new classes and can't clutch it, or sometimes I just get lazy!

I was playing a lot Gold with a Phalanx back in April and May.  It's not a bad gun.  Not absolutely fantastic, no, but perfectly viable as a caster weapon.

On topic, not often.  I can solo, so my teams really only wipe if I get sync killed.  Occasionally there's a horribly placed device to deactivate, but that's about it.

UUG in PUG - not the best odds for me. I try to avoid playing UUG with PUG because I might get Geth and most PUG are horrible with Geth.

I don't do UUG with PUG, but when I do I play my best loadouts ( Wraith on GI, Typhoon on Krogan Sentinel, Destroyer with PPR ). But my success rate is probably less than 50% extraction.

Of course i'm a coward, but not for the enemy, IT'S FOR THE TEAMMATES!!!!!!!

Usually the ones that plays geth are bad.

With bad i don't mean skilless, with bad I mean campers that don't leave the position do to objectives...

And ever worse, they don't headbutt back.<_<

Most of my gold pug games don;t wipe, (80%-90% I guess)

* Will you blindly put on equipment when looking to join a lobby, or will you only wait until you find a room with a few decent people in it?

I usually fo put the gear/consumables before

* Will you kick and/or leave lobby if you see certain builds or low N7 builds?

I usually leave if I feel the lobby is hopeless, I rarely kick though.  I don;t hate any kits, just dont bring avenger 1 and no gear character to gold.

* What level do you typically have your character when you play? 17-20?
Yea pretty much, depending on character, from 15+

* Any information people care to share regarding their PUG gold experiences would be appreciated.
I am more critical to unkown or collector lobbies than cerb/reaper lobbies.   Usually all you need is not stay in lobbies that have a guy with avenger 1 and predator 1, a vanguard with javelin etc..

I'm usually the host, so it's easier for me, that means i must play better then other members..  but if they don't want to win - what can i do?) For example if i go down on 3 wave after objective is done and noone rises me, i just bleed out.. if they can't kill those 1-8 enemies, what's the point to go further?.. >< actually in 25% cases that's exactly what happening

I play 15+ lvl characters on Gold (normally I don't promote, but now I'm working on that challenge).

My Gear is almost always Shield Booster V. On low level chars I pick shield mods, the rest depends on what class and with what weapons (cooldowns for Vanguards, power amp for biotics with strong punch - dps or single damage, stability for Saber or Black Widow).

Most of my games are PUGs (1-15 lvl Silver, 15+ Gold, 20 lvl promotion or character skills test). I prefer unknown/unknown and try to pick lobby without weak characters (poor weapons, low level or multiple squishy classes). Also, no lags (if I join ongoing match).

Match usually ends on wave 10/11 - with completed objective or even with extraction (mostly partial 3/4). Wave 8 is when match starts to be hard. However, sometimes on wave 6 during hacking or disable objective could be harsh.

From my perspective, difficulty by faction on Gold:
1. Collectors (80% perfectly aimed grenades, beams piercing walls, Praetorian on pills and swarmers kicking vanguards' asses for even trying to play against them. Annoying during objectives),
2. Cerberus (I'm not certain after last balance changes which limited Dragoons per wave, but Phantoms+Dragoons = street fighter... cool if you play Phoenix Vanguard, pathetic if you use squishy adepts),
3. Geth (stunlock = instakill in open space, objectives when team don't prioritize close Geth Bombers, focusing on Primes for example),
4. Reapers (hacking objective could be hard if spawns are too close. My most successful solos are against Reapers after rest of team being wiped out).

Also, I tend to play on the my laptop while playing a volus shield monkey. I pay attention on mission waves, Or I hear an alerting sounds, such as shields down from an ally. Believe it or not, people rarely fall down when doing im doing this since I'm restoring shields constantly. Funnier thing is, A few of my friends do this as well.
