If you were to work with a star developer or composer from any team, who would it be and why?

I’ve been fortunate to work with so many great developers and publishers. However, I select projects based on if I find them interesting and feel it gives me the opportunity to create something original, not who’s developing it. Though I would love to work with Bioware again.

Inon Zur's work for Dragon Age 2 was really disappointing. So I'm definitely on board for a new composer.

Yes please.

Because Kyd is awesome. Love his soundtracks. He creates music that's worth following, unlike most soundtrack these days. They try to be... well... too cinematic? I don't know, but most of it is just ambient music that doesn't really make you feel one way or another. So most of the soundtracks are dull.

Kyd for most part does music that actualy sounds like it.

Jesper Kyd is pure win. If I'm gonna end up not being very fond of DA3 as a whole because of things like the ending, recycled maps, broken save imprt and such, at least I'm gonna fall in love with the OST.

He had few good momments in the first game, but mostly it was the ambient-pit of boredom for him too.

Origins had some great tracks. But Dragon Age 2's soundtrack felt like it had little effort put into it. The song rogue heart was pretty good, but I can't even remember where (or if) it plays in the game. The whole soundtrack just sounded like mediocre/average fantasy music with no real melody or emotion.

Inon Zur can make great music so I really don't know what pulled him down for Dragon Age 2. If he can step up his game and take his time to make an epic fantasy score I'm all for him returning.

For me, he's hit and miss.

Red Zone's soundtrack is <3 but I'd rather keep Inon Zur for DA.

Oh, and Inon said he was rushed for DA2. So I don't blame him too much for DA2, despite everything, I enjoyed his work for the game.

He was rushed? I guess everything about that game was rushed... Let's hope they take their time for Inquisition

Eeeh. I don't dislike Inon's work (I believe he worked on IWD II, and the music in that game is to die for), but I thought that even in Origins his soundtrack was pretty bland, Leliana's Song aside. I also have the hardest time finding any of the battle themes exciting or even pleasant to listen to.

Jesper Kyd would make a good composer for any future DA title, plus from what i remember Hitman Silent Assassin's soundtrack is my favorite compilation of his work.

When has Jesper Kyd worked for Bioware? What games has he been on?

Anyway. Inon Zur has had two games and done a pretty bad job on both. He needs to go. Jesper Kyd is probably the best composer in the gaming industry at the moment. It would be a huge step up.

Jesper did MDK2 for Bioware, I think that's the only game where they worked together. He did amazing soundtrack for games. Red Zone, both Borderlands, Hitman and all Assassin's Creed.  Guy is amazing.

Yeah, I don't like DA2 soundtrack too. Jesper Kyd is good option, I like his work in Borderlands 2. But, in my opinion, it's much better if Bioware will hire Jeremy Soule, he made excellent music for Skyrim and Guild Wars 2.

Kyd is great, but I'd rather not see him do DA3.

I love Kyd, but I'd rather not have him do the score either. Blood Money has one of my favourite soundtracks of all time, it's just pure bliss but Inon's work has already established the world for me, personally. Even though DA2 was weak, Origins had a very immersive score.

I agree with you.

I actually replayed Origins again and when I got to the Tower of Ishal when a random K-pop song started playing in the other room. It fit the game much better than I thought it would have. It was certainly more engaging than Inon Zur's battle music.

I want Inon Zur to stay, though I agree that some of the batte music were... pretty boring. But his work in Dragon's Dogma is really good! I love the Chimera battle music~ I just love when it starts playing when I run through the forest in the night in the silence and something large comes running towards me! Eek!

How about they both work together? I think they would make great music together.
