Personally I hated the combat in DA2 when I played it at the release. This because the combat was so much more intense and much more "blurry" compared to DA:origins.

Thing is that when I installed it once more and began to play, more than a year after I bought it....I actually started to enjoy the game. I've been playing on hard and found it to be the perfect challenge for my taste. Since It had been awhile since DA:origins I now had no problems with the more intense combat since it stilled offered the same tactical requirement as in DA:origins and I now get the feeling that the combat looks pretty cool.

I hope they won't give the game another combat system since I think the DA combat is pretty balanced. Personally I like the way the game is played and wouldn't like if they gave it the DnD style with rolls and turns etc neither the gameplay of a pure action game...
