Abomination Explosions Cause PS3 to Freeze

I'm sure this topic has been posted here before, but I'm hoping to call more attention to it. 

So far, three times my PS3 has frozen while playing MP.  And it's one of those strange, all four systems involved freezing.  And everytime it's been when an abomination is exploding on the screen. Each time has been a different map (silver twice and gold once), against collector, with all four systems freezing.  And each time it has been wave 7 or above.  Just now, it was during wave 10.  This is incredible irritating, and I'm certain it's not good for my PS3.  I'm really just hoping to call Bioware's attention to it because this problem needs to be fixed.

Wow, that makes Abominations even more dangerous :D

I've never experienced type of freeze before but this game has a serious problem with freezing. Never have I played a game that froze my PS3 more times than ME3.

Exactly. I love watching them explode, but now I'm afraid when they do!

Yeah, there is a lot of freezing during ME3. (Although I have to say the award goes to Skyrim for most freezes for me).

Iv just had it happen to me.

I was gunna blame the Volus because every time someone uses a Volus it freezes. But now that I think about it your right it is the abominations fault >.<

Why doesn't someone at Bioware respond to these threads. Hard crashing the entire system is about as bad a bug as you can get in a game. It's like nobody gives a **** here.

the freeze is due to the seeker swarms. happens on gold and silver often not due to the abomination explosions. More or less its caused because of too much things to render at once. makes the Drive have a stroke and that equals the freeze.

I don't know, Oni Dark Clown, it's only when an abomination is exploding that it freezes for me. I mean, seeker swarms may be part of the problem (I mean not being able to render all that information makes sense as an explanation), but the big red fire light on my screen is a pretty good indicator. The pain point is, of course, that collectors are freezing people's systems and that's bad. It makes me cringe every time they're the enemy.

the abominations animation can be a trigger same as when a Praetorians fires its eye lasers. but then that is just the trigger, the primer is in having to render too much data at once. think of it as a water balloon. if its getting over filled then the slightest bump can make it pop.

The collectors and the mass of rendering all the effects is the culprit, not just the Abominations exploding.
the way to fix it would be changing the spawn pool so that captains and what have to spawn less. but that would have to be only for the PS3. this is a kind of tricky thing to do, from a programing point. the issue seems to be with the limited ability of the PS3 vs the ME3 possible data leek. (I can only speculate seeing as I do not work with or know the Inner workings of the Program or possessing ability of the PS3 or ME3.)

I have played collectors many many times on gold and silver. Solo and with full squad. the bigger the map the higher the possibility of freeze. Also the time played, if playing 2-3 or more hours at a time the greater chances that the game will hard freeze. all sines pointing to a problem on the PS3 side of things. again I can only speculate.

Anyone wanna bet this is like the Skyrim BS they had where the PS3 version was messed up due to the PS3's architecture? Whatever freezing issues are likely known to them but they can't or won't fix it.

In any case, I'm sick of my PS3 freezing 50% of my Collector matches.
