I can't find an answer to this problem.... maybe someone here can help me...? I did a search, but for some reason, when I searched for this, I got all PC answers... not helpful for my game.
I'm in the Fade doing the quest to get the mages. I found the Sloth demon & he sends me to the Fade. I talk to & kill Duncan, I talk to Nial(sp?), I fight the demon who's picking on poor mouse, I get the mouse form &.... nothing.... game freezes. I've tried this part about 8 different times all w/the same result -- I get to the mouse & he gives me his form & then game freezes where it tells me on the screen that I've got the shape change ability. I can't do anything after that. Does anyone know how to fix this -- or if it can be fixed or is my game hosed? Would a new disk help me? If it helps, I'm playing a female noble warrior....

Reinstall the game, keep the save. If the same thing happens again, start over

This sounds like an answer to a PC problem. I'm on the Xbox. I can't reinstall the game, I can only take the disk out of the 360 & put it back in. Is that what you mean? I've already tried that. I've tried cleaning the disk as well & nothing. I've started over several times as well. This is my 3rd runthrough & my umpteenth time trying to go through that part in the 3 different runthroughs & I freeze at this point every time. Am I screwed? Can this not be fixed?

I had this problem to. I was able to get past it. The game would freeze when the screen pop'd up saying that I has learnt a new specialization. I know this may not solve the problem, but I was able to get past by quickly hammering on A and X repeated as the mouse started to speak. My thought was there was either a glitch in the animation freezing it or maybe there was some hidden code like, A to continue, that we could not see that was written in a loop and created the problem. So I rapidly pressed A in case of that and X because it is the skip animation button. First time I tried, it froze still. Tried a second time and I was able to get past the game and am now at the archdemon, not encountering this problem since.

Yes! I'm free! For anyone else wondering I think it's the bumpers you have to push. Just worked for me anyhow.

yea i figured it out just pull the LT button to bring up the Radial Menu :-)
