I'm not sure I can get used to non-hideous half-elves though. I've grown used to them looking like they've been beaten about the head viciously with the ugly stick, then had David Duchovny's nose transplanted onto them.

I especially like the head with the missing eye. A bit of asymmetry now and then is welcomed in a game where the vast majority of heads mirror the same texture on both sides of the face.

Thanks for all the comments guys, it really helps to keep me going on this. I don't know what possessed me to tackle such a huge undertaking but it really is proving rewarding :)

It's like accidently making a clean spot on a dirty floor - once you start, you've pretty much got to do the rest. Posted Image

I've always known how bad the elf (especially sun elf) and half-elf heads were in the original game, but in comparison to your new heads even the decent-looking original heads are starting to look bad. I had no qualms with using your new drow, sun elf and half-elf heads to completely override the existing ones. I might use some of the new human heads as additional options though, mostly for module-specific companions and NPCs.

Yes, these are a no contest choice for overriding the drunken modeling efforts of the original game. I'd love to see "human" versions of all the elf heads too giving more variety.

Great job!! Keep going!

These are excellent, but I do have one minor gripe about some of them -- the elves. The problem with having the ears stick out so much is that you can no longer use helmets with those heads because the ears will always be showing.

Keep up the good work!

Yeah, that was a design choice. The ears clipping through the helms is common throughout most games where elves have this style of ears. I also never use helms on my PC so it wasn't really a concern for me. I imagine that if such a race existed their helms would have appropriate ear holes :P

This project is so much bigger than I thought when I first started. Weighing in at about 80 heads so far and I am still far from done. Not to mention the fact that I am doing hair packs too. I started this pack with the purpose of getting back into 3d after over a year of doing nothing with 3ds max. I wanted to refine my workflow and set a large goal and achieve it. It is challenging but so far I think I have been up to the task. After I am done with this I will be moving on to asset creation for a module I have planned for Dragon Age. Basically I have not played a game I like since origins and am sick of waiting for another gem like BG or origins to materialize so I want to create my own. This headpack project is an essential step to prepare for the sheer amount of work I will have to do when I get started with it, an exercise in discipline and determination I guess you could say.

So, in other words, much more to come xD

One of the most needed mods to the game and you are doing a great job with it!

Love this mod, every head pack released makes NWN2 look a whole lot better. Would be exciting to see what you can do with halflings, dwarves, gnomes or half-orcs.

I'm guessing it's now Moon Elves that are next on the schedule?

If you're still in need of more discipline and determination once you're done with this pack, I have a whole load of projects that you could do.   :)

Oh these are an improved over the defult heads (which isn't hard hehe) There were only a handful I actually liked enough to use!

And I see you've done Neeshka a new head. :D Gives me an exscurse to start the OC over again. Not that I really needed one!
