it is one fo the most disturbing revelation in the game imo and I cant belive no1 knew about it before - i mean surely dead legion would come acroos them before?



I wish there was an option at the end where I coudl dedicate my life exterminating them and so should grey wardens

Frostback Mountains to enter Orzammar quest for a Paragon of her kind

The way she sings it, I do not do it justice. You just have to hear it, it's right before the fight with Brood Mother

Mmm... I need to go down deeper in the Deep Roads then. But first, I'll need to make a new character after my holiday, because I deleted my others because of a poor setup or wrong story choices...

make sure to buy the add on, coming out on Jan 5. Bioware said it's about an hour long, but I'm beating the game for the 3rd time, I have already got all four allys ready for the final battle and the a pinch of the Urn. But before I go to refcliff and do last quest there, I'm waiting quitetly for it.

Before I turn it in into Arl, I'm going wait to download the DLC. Hope it's worth the wait.

Dead Legion doesn't seem like an offensive force. They're pretty much holding the line so they might not be piercing the veil to find the problem.

IIRC isn't there an end card that talks about someone trying to strike out at the Broodmothers now they we know who they are.

There is creepy . . . and then there is Hespith and the Broodmother.

Totally creepy. Especially since you don't see Hespith at first and the chant just starts coming from somewhere. The part after you meet Hespith and right before the Broodmother fight is pretty disturbing too - something along the lines of "she rips off her husband's face and drinks his blood". And then she finishes the story with the word "Broodmother!" and you turn the corner... and there it is!

In one of the endings, Leliana will go search out the broodmothers with others. I think she has to be hardened.

Yeah. I spent a bit wildly looking in all directions trying to figure out where the hell the song was coming from.

The whole Broodmother idea was just really creepy Lovecraftian juju. Really suited the seriously screwed up environments that you find in the depths of the Deep Roads. What on earth is wrong with Hespith anyway? Covered in weird sores....

Seriously! Eating darkspawn tainted corpes is one thing... but it's a whole OTHER thing to eat darkspawn infested... oh god, nevermind, why did I even....

That is the natural progression of the taint when a person survives the tainted but continues to repeatedly expose him or her self to it.

Odd. I thought you either master the taint (grey Wardens and, uh Broodmothers...) or you die. Hespith just seems to shuffle around the ****-covered corridors babbling.

Aw, seriously, that area creeps me out more than any in an RPG game. Even the Shadow Plane in MotB wasn't as disturbing as that.

I agree.  The first time I got it I stopped and thought, WTF?  That sounds rather creepy and is she singing.  The next installment I checked Leliana's mouth to see if it was her all possesed or something.
