I unlocked this yesterday and dear god is this thing powerful.

Although I would like the option to decode Geth language in the scope

Yep. It says so in the weapon description in the MP and on the wikia.

got that thing at level five.... place a rail amp 3, armor piercing 4, level 5 sniper gear and it shreds everything lol, favourite sniper in the game

I've got mine at VIII at the moment, Love this gun but I haven't got an upgrade for a while...

...you sort of 'hear' the geth? when scoped.

I use scope between waves because the sound is so cool

Javelin X + AP mod/ New AP mod + Drill III + Geth Infiltrator = borderline cheating.

I got mine in my Loyalty pack. Such low capacity. 10 shots with Spare Ammo V. It is good though. Did a Hardcore Infiltrator SP playthrough with it. Had fun.

It's one of my favorite weapons. Cloak -> energy drain -> headshot will kill any unit in the game on any difficulty, except for the bigger armored bosses (with the right gear most of the mooks don't even need a headshot.) Though a wraith X does as much damage per shot as a javelin VI, with two rounds per clip and half the reload time.

I finally unlocked the elusive Javelin in the loyalty pack, and dear lord I suck at using it. It's fun to use, and killing three troopers with one shot was one for the books, but most of the time I couldn't hit the ground if I aimed at it and gravity helped...

Besides the harrier and hurricane ofcourse.

this. you can kill an atlas from anywhere on the map, even from its spawn point without you having to move anywhere. the only thing that doesn't make it the ultimate wallhax gun is it's fire rate, and i'm fine with it with reload cancelling.XD

So did they change the guns scope? I dont see anything in the balance change list. Or are you using a Scope Mod to change the zoom?

Phasic Ammo 3 trivializes shield gate.

I was one shotting phantoms with body shots at level VIII on my duration specced SI.

He's talking about the new sniper scope mod, which is a 4x scope that lets you see through walls on ANY sniper rifle, with a 50% weight penalty.

Even my Jav VIII weighs a ton (worse than -100% CD rate) if I try to use both HVB and the new scope, though.  I prefer to run HVB and spare clips, and even then if you ever get cloak desynced you are OUT for what feels like half a wave.

btw, add the piercing barrel and the piercing modto the sniper rifle and you basically got an wallhack (that's how it feels, you can shoot through walls, and see through them

best character for that weapon is of course the geth infiltrator, since he has an extra bonus to geth weapon damage

 I have the Javelin VIII.  GI, rail amp, warp ammo, the whole deal.  I can kill atlases in 4-5 shots on gold.  It's absurd and I love it.   Work the reload cancel and abuse auto-aim and it's easily one of my favorite weapons.
