No, it isn't.
Glands meant to produce milk to feed the young serve a biological function.
A visible vaginal area on a robot does not make sense.
The two are completley different.
You expect that thing to suckle?
No. No, the only reason there are breasts is because they are sexy and feminine. Just like the only reason the asari are blue space babes is because it's hot. Just like how the camera remained fixed on Miri's ass in ME2.
Or how there were strippers in ME1 or a fading shot of your love interest ass in the romance scenes.
If we're going to be calling this out on everything, than I say that jack is a bigger one from ME2 due to wearing belts for a top. Samara is one for her plunging V line. Quarian suits need to look more volus like to stop people thinking of them being sexualized. ? And thane, and his exposed chisled chest, is the male version of this along with jacobs ass.

There's an Asari that does this dance too, and she looks SO hawt!
Not as hot as when a Turian does it.
Turian dance>Asari dance
No one can beat the disco Turian at his own game.

By the way, I think they(devs) said there was a problem with the camera although they sure done it on purpose on ME3.

Yeah it only looks like she has boobs on some shots. And definetly not in her heavy armour

Is your entire concept team made of horny 14-year-olds or something?
I mean, she's a BIRD, for chissakes!
*throws hands up in exasperation, turns around and leaves*
(This is more to Bioware than to the fan community; I fully expect this topic to be locked.)
Haven't even bothered to look... Does she really? OH LOL.

So basically there is no lore problem if Bioware do it ( i am still not totaly conviced those are breasts and not just some effect caused by the armor).

Gee, just because she has a visible bump in that place doesn't mean it has to be what humans have in that place.
Of course, I'm just theorizing, and I would personally not be surprised if she does turn out to have boobs.

How this is relevant to Mass Effect is something I haven't quite worked out yet.
Is it terribly obvious I'm procrastinating on BSN instead of doing some actual work?

Given everything else about turians - metallic carapace, avian-inspired design, mouths that couldn't suckle anyway, the 'funny bumps' remark (even if it was eventually omitted) - I think it just takes too much mental hoop-jumping and work to excuse the presence of boobs or suggestively boobish shapes as being anything but a lazy and unnecessary design choice made to communicate 'female' via conventional standards of human female attractiveness. Including boobs, or 'boobs' even, when they aren't an extremely likely feature for metallic, mandibled birdish creatures - this
would be a real missed opportunity for Bioware to be more creative, tactful and sensible with their female character design than they usually are.
TL;DR: Boobs really don't add anything necessary or logical at all on a turian design and we have enough female humans and aliens that are sexified in a conventional human way so I hope boobs aren't there on the bird-girl.

1. You don't know how Turian nipples look like, now, do you.
2. Turians are inspired by more than birds alone, their face resembles cat's one for example. Even Sarens VA said in an interview it is 'partly a lion', as I recall it.
3. You won't see Nyreen shirtless, so you don't have even idea how her chest exactly looks like. Sure, it would be better if she had some original shape, but the way she is, her character model gives you a clear message that this is a female, not some underdeveloped male.
4. Following this trail of thinking, was ME2 and ME3 Garrus romance an oversexualisation of Garrus? Because it was 'implied' that he has a matching joystick for human females. With quite a reach. You did romance Garrus, right? So, if in ME universe Human Female can be attracted to a Turian Male (or even Krogan male
5. Do you think Nyreen is 'hot'? Because I think she looks awesome, but she's not hot.
6. Maybe Nyreen's body lacks in design, but I'd rather see a familiar, more human posture than a failed artistic vision. Female body lines are good-looking to us by definition, and it's a safe bet if an artist isn't sure about his vision, or is simply lazy.

Let's wait for the DLC to come out. If the camera will focus on the Nyreen's chest and ass, which we both know is not going to happen, I'll back out from my words.

I don't understand the main issue about this. So she got breasts, so what? This whole discussion is irrelevant.
It's more Mass Effect's continuing trend of sexualising female charcters regardless of character, lore or anything else. Nyreen might have breasts she might not the point is BW have gone out of their way to make sure the shape of her armour/robe thing gives the illusion of boobs.
