[The Teyrn of Whatever]

I think we should be able to have casual amorous encounters with various NPCs in the world. I also found the ****s at The Pearl in Dragon Age: Origins to be amusing.

I also like the idea of a romanceable companion who is interested in being "friends with benefits", much in the way Zevran and Isabela were in the respective games they appeared in as companions.

Casual romances and friends with benefits would be great. Sex doesnt need to be so serious. Give us some better animations while your at it. No underwear sex and no fade to black. Take notes from the witcher. Its rated 18 anyhow so what does it matter whether theres nudity or not?

Personally, I don't think I would care. There will be no romance as interesting as Morrigan's or no character as interesting as Morrigan herself. So...yeah.

I think somewhat funny that many people dismissed the Witcher games as vulgar because you could do a lot of casual sex.

It doesn't have to be sex, though. Why not the occasional fade to black with an NPC that implies getting to know him or ner better off-screen? The SWTOR team did this pretty well even with characters that weren't romance options.

Seriously though, it was hard trying to role-play my Hawke as incredibly promiscuous, in total I could only sleep with about... 4-5. Psh. My Warden was practically a professional, uh, something, by that time.

Anyone remember the issue with Amnesia?

Also, in regards to casual romances, I'd be okay with them to be honest, they had this feature in SWTOR and I thought it added a nice sense of realism to the game. Sleep with anything that moves!

Basically the previous games have been pretty decent about this, I think. Though I occasionally roll my eyes when I'm obliged to visit the obligatory comedy brothel.

I agree. I wouldn't want everyone to be like, "Oooh, Mr. Inquisitor, you're sooooo fine." That would be cheesy and lame. I just want the option to go to bed with tavern wenches (or bartenders), milkmaids, farmhands, servants (like the ones we might have working at the castle I believe we'll be getting at some point in the game), maybe a shopkeeper or two (a Wade and Herren threesome would be pure WIN!) or even the odd lord or lady. You have to admit it would be fun to get a member of the clergy or the Templars to break their vows and then listen to them express their remorse afterwards.

On the flipside it would be fun to watch our protagonist get rejected when their charming advances aren't met favourably, due perhaps to a persuasion check fail.

I just want the option to be able to bang anything that moves. Just like in DA:0. I mean, being able to do all the "romances" at first playtrough. Awesome.

I had no problem roleplaying a promiscuous Hawke. Not only did she sleep with all of the romance options (except Sebastian, the party pooper), she also slept with everyone at the Blooming Rose. Twice. And she flirted with everyone that she possibly could.

That was a fun character.

I'm for it only so long as it is way to resolve certain quests, is liked to the story, or comes attached with either rewards or consequences. DA:O did that for the most part, IMO.

But it has no impact on the story, doesn't resolve quests, and isn't attached to either rewards or consequences I'd rather it was kept out. Then it just becomes as pointless as having the PC go to the brothel.

I can agree with this. The fact that my smuggler in TOR tried to sleep with every woman he met, regardless of species, and the reactions, successful or not, were part of what made him fun to play.
