Before I started playing DA:O, I'd lost interest in gaming and become rather bored with it all. This game has renewed my love for all things RPG. I've finished the game twice, and am half way through my third run. So why the Off-Topic post?

My husband has asked a few times if he can play. My response has always been in the vein of "you can rip it out of my cold, dead hands." As such, he's backed off and left me to it.

I had to give it up eventually though and so I did. I offered him (far too many!) notes and possibly more advice than he was really interested in.  So he's started playing and I'm trying to ignore him as he makes silly mistakes. He told me to stop staring at him while he games as I was being 'freaky'. Grr.

So, DA:O is his for a month or so. (There is no way he's playing RTO before me tho :P) So I'm trying to give up my addiction. I've never played BG, so I have them on order. Until they arrive I'm back playing NWN2. I'm enjoying it a lot, although I do miss the character interaction from DA:O.

Getting to the point, my question is this. Is there anything in NWN2 that I'm an idiot for missing? I don't have the expansions, just the main game.

Missing companions from DA:O is bad, right? :P

Mask Of The Betrayer has an excellent campaign that comes with it if you really dig deep personal plots and stories. Pretty interesting cast of misfit characters, though not as many companions as Dragon Age. Personally, it was my favorite campaign in a long while with interesting plot twists, and it had a pretty dark and mature tone to it as well (the NWN2 OC felt a little cartoony at times). My only complaint really is the spirit meter micromanagement.

The NWN2 premium module Mysteries Of Westgate was also pretty awesome. The Storm Of Zehir expansion I also liked, but it is definitely a very different flavored campaign that felt much more like dungeon crawling with a very light plot to it.
