All of these are quite possible... I really hope they make a movie or at least a TV show. More a movie tho. We should all sign a petition and make this happen!! lol

Also, I think Rosemary Harris would be great as Wynne and I think Anthony Hopkins needs to be in this movie. Maybe as Irving?

Ok, after numerous atempts at getting pictures in, ive given up. Here are the names at least of who I think:

Zevran Gael Garcia Bernal

Wynne Helen Mirren

Alistair Sam Worthington

Morrigan Claudia Black

Oghren Sean Astin

Sten Laurence Fishbunre (Now is it my imagination, or is Sten black. I thought he

was but nobody has put a black actor up.)

Leliana Gigi Edgley

Duncan Liam Neeson

Arl Howe Tim Curry

Flemeth Kate Mulgrew

Brann Teagan Gary Oldman

And i think if not a movie, a tv series. First 2 episodes concentrate on the warden at the beginning place (depending on what he would be, more then likely a human warrior), and then move on to becoming a Grey Warden over next few episodes, and the battle where the king and duncan die. Moving on to the lothering and meeting Sten, and Leliana. An episode based on freeing Sten perhaps. Then move on to RedCliffe and freeing the small town outside of the castle, and then an episode on getting in with a plan, etc. Moving on to freeing connor, which you could either kill the mother off, or instead of redcliffe, go to the circle of mages first, and free the tower. either way finish off the season with the choice of killing the mother, or if they kill off the mages or letting them live. (depending on if you go mages or redcliffe first.)

Second season goes to the mages or redcliffe, does that, then moving to the next place get ambushed, and captured by zevran. eventually they escape, and manage to kill the other assasins, but Zevran is allowed to join team. go to ozrammar. do the stuff in there to get to the tunnells, meet oghran. and then destroy the anvil.

Third season goes with wynne collapsing, and spend an episode on her. Maybe kill her off half way through season. (someone always has to die eventually, and it would be very heroic, maybe against a dragon or somethin.) then bring in shale to replace her. go to Dalish camp. do all that, get wynne to meet her old pupil before shes killed off. Then group gets split up, half with Elf's half with werewolves as they were captured by the werewolves, but begin to see that there not all evil, and work with them. End up with peaceful solution, then on the face Loghain, and end season with death of loghain.

Fourth season has them all preparing to attack the arch demon. however warden finds out he must die to do it. Morrigan wont let him do it with out another way, so she goes to Flemming to find out how to save him. While learning how to do it, finds out what her mother does to her daughters to stay alive. Is then captured by mother, team goes to save her, and face and kill fleming. Morrigan tells Warden how of plan to save him, he decides if he can do that or not. Wynne comes back to give some advice. Finnally decides, and the battle begins. Kill the demon, and done with series, unless they move on to awakening, depending on ratings.

If there was a time machine, I'd say a young Cary Elwes (from the Princess Bride) would have made a delightful Alistair. Unfortunately, these days he's old and bloated *sad face*

I would vote for a completely CG thing like the Sacred Ashes Trailer, but I would love a full length live action movie as well.
However, the protagonist characters in the game are all pretty young (with the exception of a few) so I feel like some of the actors previously chosen are just too old.
I'm gonna give the others some thought but I saw a woman I thought looked exactly like Wynne if she was in the enchanters robes, Its Dianne Wiest.I just feel like maybe the actors shouldn't be that big. Too many A-List celebrities shouldn't be in one movie together or it spells disaster.

I'm gonna search for others and add it. I wish that Victoria Johnson (Who Morrigan's face was based off of) was an actress. Or that Claudia Black was a bit younger. Shes' so beautiful. I wouldn't mind if she played her though.

Apparently I have the largest budget in the world. And I have the ability to relegate A - list actors to bit parts. Hopefully some of these actors can pull off convincing British/French accents.

The Warden - Sam Worthington/Andy Whitfield (M) / Kate Beckinsale (F)

Zevran - Antonio Banderas (Seriously, Zevran is Puss in Boots)

Alistair - Ryan Reynolds/ Jeffrey Donovan

Morrigan - Kate Beckinsale (lol) / Tricia Helfer

Leliana - Keira Knightly/ Gemma Arterton

Duncan - Liam Neeson (with a tan) / Mark Strong (aged, wigged, with a tan)

Wynne - Cate Blanchett/ Michelle Pfeiffer (slightly aged, cuz we all know Wynne's rockin' a bod)

Sten - Some tall guy/ Super Manly Voice Peter Mensah

Oghren - John Rhys-Davies

Shale - Shale

Arl Howe - Tim Curry

Flemeth - Sharon Gless (she can be creepy when she wants to be)

King Cailan - Chris Pine/ Leonardo DiCaprio

Arl Eamon - Daniel Craig (slightly aged)

Arlessa Isolde - Gabrielle Anwar

Bann Teagon - Robert Downey Jr.

Queen Anora - Scarlett Johansson

Ser Cauthrien - Angelina Jolie

Zathrian - Johnny Depp

Knight-Commander Greagoir - Tim Roth

First Enchanter Irving - Hugh Laurie (they've both got that rumbly voice)

Bhelen Aeducan - Sean Astin

Pyral Harrowmont - Patrick Stewart

Riordan - Viggo Mortensen

I can't remember any other characters at the moment. But I think I got the important ones.

I liked some of your casts, like Gemma Arterton (shes was a red head in the Bond movie so it could work) And Tricia Helfer is pretty but I don't think she could do Morrigan.

Personally, I think it would be really cool if they just held open auditions and got new people introduced into the acting biz. All the elves would have to be cast from Americans, Humans would have to be British and Leliana and Isolde would have to be French actors. But everyone else that people keep saying just seem too old. The Warden is about 18-25 based on which origin you pick so I feel they would have to get someone new.

But if they wanted to cast seasoned actors for the older roles I would understand. (Like DIANNE FREAKING WIEST!!! Why isn't anyone amazed at how much they look alike?)

But if you do open auditions, the risk of achieving a Uwe Boll movie becomes higher. And if that happens, my life would drown in sadness.

But in all seriousness, I personally agree that they should use relatively unknown actors. Sometimes the seasoned actors try to put their own twists on characters too heavily (not to mention most real actors have never even touched a game console before). But in reference to the Wardens being too old. Let's not forget how old Malcolm (trailer Warden) friggin' looks. So I dunno if it would be a problem if an actor in their 30's (even 40's if they're youthful enough) played the Warden.

And in reference to Tricia Helfer not being able to be Morrigan. Watch her as Carla in Burn Notice, she does mystery sultry VERY well.

Gemma Arterton can actually pull Leliana's role. She is sweet nd British and I am certain she can do nice French accent.

I have this idea that Elisa Dushku

or Mila Kunis

can make wonderful Morrigan. They are young, sexy and can totally be b!tches if necessary.

@ Freeman - Oh I've only seen her in Battlestar Gallactica. Shes an awesome actor but I still just don't feel she'd be a good Morrigan.

@Yana- Thanks I think she's pretty cool.

@ Freeman Again - I guess I don't mean open auditions exactly but I feel that they should be careful if they decided to do the Dragon Age Movie and not only use current popular actors. I would like them to use some people that maybe we have forgotten about in the movie industry or give the big roles to people who had smaller parts in the past. (As long as they could cut it), but the last thing we want is another Eragon (although another problem with that was bad writing).

Now, if only any directors weren't stupid enough to screw the movie.

For me though, resemblance is far more important in game to movie requirement for actor/actress.

Make it epic!!

BTW, NO MILLA KUNIS, shes too short and not mature enough. :(

If you're looking for a good Leliana with a french accent, then how about Emma De Caunes? I reckon she'd do well as Leliana and she's no new comer to video games (she did a voiceover in Beyond Good & Evil).

Hmm, a dragon's age movie ... Interesting ...

I really think that they should keep this animated and keep the voices in the movie version. I felt that I was playing a Movie while playing the game. Writing was just THAT good! Minus the all the cliches and the Hollywood niches, it's still good ...

To be honest, I'm not sure if such a movie would be successful though. There aren't many successful fantasy medieval-based movie made the past few generations. Maybe Mass Effect can make some noise in the blockbuster though.

I love Alyson Hannigan, and I think she would be quite good, she has that sleek look, that Leliana, how she looks quite petit and delicate, but her looks can be deceptive. I know I wouldn't want to find myself up against Alyson Hannigan with a bow :)

Alyson Hannigan? Hmmm, no. I loved her In Buffy but can't imagine her being handy in a fight as Leiliana- she'd make a human/elf mage warden I think. Eliza Dushku - can she even act? It's a tough choice as you need someone very pretty and feminine, but with an athletic physique - not someone who looks like she could't punch her way out a wet paper bag. A much younger version of Geena Davis or Kelly McGillis comes to mind.

Sam Worthington would make a great human noble warden. So would Ryan Reynolds. Neither of them would be ideal as Alistair in my opinion - they're both a bit to macho, and Ryan Reynolds is to cocky - cocky in the sense that he's good looking and knows it. Also, would either of them be believable as a virgin? lol. Alistair requires a bit of vulnerability - how about Charlie Hunnam?

Seems to be a lot of difficulty pinning down Loghain - may I suggest Daniel Craig?

Now, I don't follow movies much, but here's my not so humble take.

Liam Neeson as Arl Eamon is inspired.

Claudia Black, never heard of her...but I have to admit, she's perfect for the role of Morrigan, just from that one picture. (Personally, I always seduce Morrigan -- I like women with teeth!)

I'm thinkin'.... LeLe Sobieski as Leliana. Sobieski played 'Joan of Arc' a few years back... very French, sexy, but enough hardness in the character to pull it off.

The Male Warden (Human)? Well, since the Warden is, well, ME (the player character) the actor has to resemble me...! I recommend Vin Diesel, with a goatee.

Duncan - Liam Neeson (They both have that almost nasal accent)

Arl Howe - Tim Curry (He voiced him, so why not...he does devious well)

Jory - Peter DeLuise (I find the character of Jory similar to his character of Dagwood oddly enough)

Daveth - Justin Whalin (Did a good job as a reformed thief in Dungeons & Dragons)

Loghain - Jeremy Irons (I think he does maniacal quite well)

King Caihlan - Alexander Skårsgard (I think he could pull of a King)

Alistair - Ryan Reynolds (I believe hands down nobody else could pull him off better, period)

Morrigan - Cladia Black (After hearing her voice I can't picture anyone else doing it, and I think they modeled it after her physically anyway)

Flemeth - Kate Mulgrew (She voiced it, and I think she would fit the part well)

Leiliana - Milla Jovovich (Nobody better)

Sten - Sala Baker (Played Sauron in Lord of the Rings, I think his facial features and skin tone are perfect)

Greagoir - Bill Pullman (I always felt Greagoir looked too young in Dragon Age)

Wynne - Sigourney Weaver (I think she would do well as the wizened old mage)

Irving - Ian McKellen (Hands down best magic user ever)

Zathrian - Richard O'Brien (I think he would excel in the role)

Lanaya - Mila Kunis (I think she would do great in this part, her voice would add the urban touch to Lanaya)

Swiftrunner - Terry Crews

Witherfang - Jennifer Aniston ( And I think the CG should be modeled after her as well, she would be perfect)

Bann Teagan - Viggo Mortensen

Arl Eamon - Sean Connery

Isolde - Noémie Lenoir (She's already got the accent and the helpless damsel in distress thing under her belt)

Connor - Noah Gray-Cabey

Murdock - Robin Sachs (He voiced him and Harrowmont, but I think he would suit the part of Murdock)

King Bhelen - Val Kilmer

Lord Harrowmont - Patrick Stewart

Oghren - Mark Addy

Branka - Helen WIlson (She voiced her, and her image suits the part)

Carridan - David Lodge (He voiced him, so it would fit well)

Shale - Geraldine Blecker (She voiced Shale, so why not again?)

Zevran - Antonia Benderas (Hands down, just die his hair!)

Riordan - Rufus Sewell

I think that's about everyone significant that would be needed in the movie. Let me know what ya'll think!

Well I think your options for Leiliana, Wynne and Zevran are inspired (Antonio Banderas - yes! in fact his Puss in Boots in Shrek is similar to Zevran)

But Ryan Reynolds? Please, I don't want to pick a fight with anyone here but I really don't get it. Alistair has to be played by a British actor. It's the self depracating humour. I guess I am biased.

A lot of actors change their accents, and I think if given the proper training Ryan Reynolds could pull of a British accent, just my thoughts.

My other thought was Heath Ledger, he would been pretty great in the part too, but obviously that could never happen for pretty clear reasons.
