Pretty much this. As a student in Theory of Knowledge courses, I can say that not valid = false, and in some context (this one in particular), false = lying.

I could delve a whole lot deeper, but I don't think anyone's even reading at this point.

What?  Bitterness?  Wow!  You must think the science community is full of bitter people as it is full of people who offer proofs and people who question the validity of those proofs.

If the scientific community was constantly referring to members of the corrected party with dismissive and derogatory remarks, we would call them bitter too. No one is questioning your math.
