How did Cassandra draw ANY ties at all between Warden from DA:O and Hawke??

I know we can have different choices but, I will speak from my own perspective, and maybe there is a canon that I am missing or something but:

1) Warden was busy dealing with the blight. When that was over he went to investigate more blight related things as any warden would. Met the Architect and some intelligent darkspawn. Then when that was done ( this is what my warden did ), went away from the order completely on his OWN business to find Morrigan, and in my case went away through the Eluvian.

2) Hawke was just on a personal mission of becoming rich and making his family happy, and then was involved in conflicts with Qunari and templar/mage conflicts.

How on earth do these two have something in common? Completely different stories of completly different characters with their own business. Why would Cassandra mention the warden? He has nothing to do with Qunari or mage conflicts. =]

Hawke and the warden are both heroes , it's not something very common.
Besides they both met Flemeth , a legendary woman.
The chantry has some scholars , like Brother Genitivi etc ... from what I understand , for humans the chantry might be the one to record history.

So it's not so strange that somebody would put 2 and 2 together and see that maybe there's something there.

Both of them were Fereldens who emerged during the Blight, were buddies with Flemeth, became very powerful, and then disappeared.

They're both heroes, they both interacted with many of the same people and they'd both be capable of helping stop the Templar/Mage war, or at least in Cassandra's opinion they're probably both capable, I personly don't think Hawke would be much help at all except for maybe having a certain amount of political pull because s/he was there when it all began. Also, they've both apparantly disappeared. My Warden's gone because she's dead, but as for what happened to other people's Wardens I have no idea.

I suspect Cassandra and Leliana were trying to track down a hero capable of resolving the Mage-Templar conflict. The Warden was one of their candidates; even though he wasn't as involved as Hawke in the war, the Warden had managed to unite a divided nation to repel the darkspawn. They likely tried to track him/her down first, but since that went belly-up due to the Warden's disappearance, they tried finding Hawke.

No idea. After all, Casandra didn't even know Hawke met Flemeth until Varric told her.

Hawke also helped few Wardens in Kirkwall in one quests. If these Wardens and their unspecified mission were connected with our Warden, Hawke would became their associate in eyes of Chantry.

Late at night, Cassandra tosses and turns and dreams of what she needs. She needs a hero, and she's holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night. He's gotta be strong, he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight. He's gotta be sure, he's gotta be soon, and he's gotta be larger than life.

Anders is a possible connection, Flemeth is the main one though. Both from Fereldan, each affected by the blight to some degree.

They're also two of the most famous people in Thedas and they both disappeared at roughly the same time unexplained.

Probably those two have disapperared in the same time. And Leliana just made the connection.
Two fereldian heroes disappears around the same time...it can't be considered a coicidence.

Cassandra know alredy Hawke flee, when starting Varric's interrogation.

I thought Cassandra was all about finding Hawke (for obvious reasons). After Varric told her Hawke disappeared she thought of the warden as well, presumably as an uncanny coincidence. It's Leliana, who, in keeping with her character, extrapolates this to mean that it's not coincidence and thus the two disappereances must somehow be connected.

Facial expression of a rock just makes you look badass. Just ask Sten, Batman, Wolverine, Vegeta, Gordon Freeman and dozens of rock expressions characters. Even sarcastic Hawke sounds dull.

My warden was a human mage, so she's related to Hawke. My warden did also ask for the circle to be free from the templar tyranny when given a boon by Anora. So for my playthrough it's not completely strange that Cassandra saw the connection between the warden and Hawke.

But for anyone else it is pretty strange, I agree.

Maybe because the warden pretty much single handedly managed to unite the human, dwarves and elves into a joint army? Maybe Cassandra is hoping the warden will do the same again for the chantry?
