Who is your favorite temporary companion?

I heard the developers were planning on making it possible for the Grey Warden to invoke the rite of conscription on him after the Arl Eamon quest and make him a Grey Warden himself to join you in your quest.
Why did they get rid of this option? That would've been so cool, plus we would've had a blood mage character.

2. Gorim
3. Walter
They were also considering having a human commoner origin and making Alastair a Grey Warden veteran.

Bioware probably wanted to include it right out of the box but had to cut it because they wanted to launch the game in time for the holidays.

I heard it wasn't cut for time reasons, but just because it seemed to generic, which, frankly, I agree with. It would be hard to make that interesting. Everyone else has some special characteristic.
Dwarf Noble: Son of a king
Dwarf Commoner: Barely treated as a person due to social status
Dalish Elf: Nomadic homeland-less tribe
City Elf: Similar to Dwarf Commoner
Human Noble: Well, you're a noble.
Human Commoner would just be... well, normal.
EDIT: And, back on topic, definitely Gorim. Besides his awesomeness, having him tell people stuff for you was beautiful.

That guy was the best. I'd be like, "Hey!" and he'd be like, "The Tower is under attack!" What a cad. We were like this!

The mage origin is the canon one, so he does not exist.
But he was indeed a swell fellow.
Edit: on that note, I would like to bring up soldier. He was the strong silent type.

But having finally played through the dwarf commoner origin, I have to say Leske was pretty cool. And yeah, Shianni would be great - her awesome Power of Haranguing has a better stun effect than Dread Horror.

I think Gorim's got this one. Jowan was all right, but I think the fact that I intend to betray him to save time kind of kills his potential. But Gorim both feels like a friend and is a badass.
Oh my god, what's wrong with your face?

He simply has a chin that all men envy.

I liked Mouse from the mage origin. I wouldn't have minded sharing my body with him.
You wouldn't actually share your body with him... more like he just gets rid of your consciousness and turns you into an abomination, where you are then killed by the Templars.

But if one retains one's humanity, can one really be called an abomination? Wynne has a Fade spirit living in her, as does Flemeth. They aren't exactly terrifying abominations.

Wynne's spirirt isn't a demon and Flemeth has pretty much killed every daughter she has ever had simply to extend her lifespan.Tassiaw wrote...

Well, I doubt you'd manage to retain your humanity in that situation. Wynne is almost completely irrelevant here since that's a benovelont spirit rather than an insidious Pride Demon, and Flemeth... well, I don't think we know enough about her to make decisions. If she really isn't corrupted, maybe a strong enough mage can resist... but I really doubt an apprentice taking their Harrowing could.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to respond to this. We don't know for sure about Flemeth, we didn't read the book that we gave Morrigan. Remember, Morrigan is known for being veeeery manipulative.

A simple "No, I'm not going to possess Morrigan" would suffice.
Well, things are a lot less interesting when both parties are guarenteed to be perfectly honest and come out and tell you their exact intentions.
