In the Book Dragon Age: The Calling I remember that one the Greywardens has a mabari hound that is immune to the taint; similar to the Greywardens immunity. So my question is can living entities other then those of ******-Sapien origin, are they capable of becoming Greywardens? Perhaps the Greywardens could have a legion of Greywarden Mabari hounds plodding along
. In all seriousness that could be a serious asset for them to have. If they manafactured a whole legion of taint-immuned Mabari hounds that be awesome!

Humans are animals.
I don't think GW rules prohibit any particular species from joining.

I wonder if there was some people who have reacted well to the taint but never even encountered the Grey Wardens, they could get the calling and everything yet never know what its all about. The dog in The Calling got it from just chewing on Darkspawn right?

In all probability animals that aren't evolved from primates should be capable of becoming Greywardens. The blood of Arch Demon is required for the ritual. There would be a scarcity of resources available to create new Wardens. I believe the process of becoming a Greywarden is strictly isolated to Dwarves, Elves, Kossith. and Humans. Couldn't a ******-Sapien Greywarden's life be spared if they created non-human Greywardens and used them to finish off an Arch Demon. Thus abolishing the needless sacrifice of a ******-Sapien Greywarden. For example, using a Greywarden Mabarai hound to snuff out the life of an Arch Demon. When the Arch Demons soul collides with the Greywarden Mabari hound it would kill them both.
