I'm stuck between Alistair, Loghain and Sten. Alistair make me feel like he's my warden's best friend in the world, Loghain is one of deepest characters in DA and I really like him. Sten is Sten no explanation needed further.

Arishok, Morrigan, Sten.

Love their philosophy for the most part and theyre the characters that I still remember well despite not having played dragon age for about a year. Other characters seem very shallow compared to those three. I cant think of any other characters from agems very similar to them either.

Female character Leliana, She just gives her all for the one she cares for no matter what.
Male character Sten. He is just so stoic and stands by you even when he may not agree or understand your reasoning.

Anders because he was my LI, and I think he was the best written character in DA2.
Alistair, because he was cute and funny, and so innocent at first.
Varric, until he disappointed me by being the only one of my npcs who didn't sympathize with Hawke when her mother was killed.

Iona, poor, dear Iona.

Why? She dove infront of the arrow and saved my life! Not only that but she played it fast and loose and human noble enjoyed that.

Fenris, probably. I have a thing for stoic, angry types with traumatic backstories and dry, dry, dry as ice senses of humour. Fenris makes me laugh more than even Varric or Isabela do, and all three of them together is like a symphony of hilarious perfection. I suspected I'd love Fenris before I played DA2, but I never expected WHY. I remember barking in surprised laughter when he asked Varric what happened to his beard and suggested his theory ... He's also probably the deepest character in DA2 and he has my favourite Bioware romance -- it's very different from the usual, with the break up and all -- and I just like the idea of a two handed elven warrior.

My tier 1 runners up would be Wynne, Isabela, Varric and KATRIEL AND MARIC, YEAAAAH BOOK CHARACTERS.

Tier 2 runners up are Alistair, Zevran, Flemeth, and Loghain (but more his book self than his game self.)

Honourable mention for Nathaniel.

Ohgren, he kept me entertained throughout Origins and Awakening.

For me, Sten. He is just so deep, I was baffled first time I played the game. I also liked how he was the most cultured and intelligent character in my party.

It's crazy how he was such a good character we almost overlook the fact he murdered an entire family. It really goes to show you how Origins makes you look at the world in shades of grey. Each character was so complex.

Zevran, mainly because I liked the romance subplot between him so much in Origins. It was one of the few subplots I found to be more realistic, starting from a sexual standpoint before slowly going into intimacy.

It also helps that Zevran is the kind of extroverted, jovial character that makes you laugh and is not annoying.

 My favorite character would have to be Alistair simply because I see a lot of myself in him. He's a joker with a keen sense of justice in my opinion.

Arishok has to be #1. I really enjoyed Sten from DAO then we got the Arishok in DA2 and the moments we had to deal with him was just awesome. I love the Qunari and want to learn more about them.

Morrigan would have to be my favorite companion. I enjoyed everything about her.

Ohgren with a close second being Alistair. Both of them added so much humor to the games. Loved it.

This is a difficult one for me... All the characters are amazing. All are complex and lovable for me, even characters like Loghain, Anora ect.   Morrigan stole my heart so I guess she's my favorite.  She is an interesting character who has some epic dialogue.

Got to say Leliana for me with Morrigan and Alistair in second and third. I didn't care much about the DA2 characters but Varric was pretty cool!
