my first playthrough i was a double dagger rouge he was pretty fun now im going on my second playthrough and sorta having a hard time which i wanna be my choices are between two short range classes and two long range

Shield Warrior- seems alot of fun being a total tank and all

2H Warrior - being a total tank seems fun but what seems just as fun is being a total power house using a giant sword too cut through my enemies very slow though

Archer- did a whole playthrough as an Archer in Skyrim and i thought that was fun thought it be fun in this as well

Blood Mage - being a mage sounds fun but being a blood mage sounds even more fun this character would most likely be an evil playthrough

if someone can help me with this it be great also if you can tell me your thoughts about these classes too help me how there played would be fine as well

also enough with my problems i forgot too also say which class did you enjoy which is not in these choices of mind like mage warrior or whatever you call them sorry don't know the name lol

I'm a really poor player so for me it has to be really simple,
that mean casting ability combinations in the heat of battle goes out the window,
so that means mages goes out the window.
It also mean i have to be able to take huge amount of beating before i go down,
so that excludes rouges.
Left is warriors
2H, too slow, aint fun
S&S, also not enough dmg output
dual wield warrior: now we're getting somewhere, a dual wield warrior on momentum steroids
has an entertaining dmg output,
only catch is i need more armor & magic resist since i'm no good at games,
exacerbated by the fact that i much prefer to play solo.
Arcane warrior: same as dual wield warrior, but with even more armor & resist,
and with mana clash for a single kill-all-mages-button.
Blood magic sounds cool but it dont really makes much of a difference, its not up to the hype,
tho there is one occasion in the game where it has proven to be vital for me to solo on nightmare,
the spider queen in deep roads, so i combine AW with BM for this reason.

If you are importing your wardens to awakening, no matter the class, everyone will grow into a powerhouse. Even in Origins, all the classes are pretty much balanced with their pros and cons. That is, in my opinion, one of the things that makes Origins great.

As I've already given my views to you about SnS and 2H in another thread, I won't be repeating them here; but I want to point one thing regarding 2H warriors - although 2-handed weapons have the lowest autoattack speed, if you are using activated talents all the time, you won't notice it, because the attack animation of the talents are played out at a fixed speed. Moreover, even if you are only autoattacking, if your 2-hander is augmented with stuff like haste, blood thirst, swift salve, you probably won't find it too slow.

Archer - A properly built archer, whether warrior or rogue, is a deadly force on the battlefield. I haven't played skyrim, so I wouldn't know how the archer played out in that game, but I found the origins archer very fun and rewarding. Shale would play an important role to boost your archery skills if you bring him along.

Blood Mage - A blood mage is probably the greatest master of debilitation because of the massively overpowered spell 'Blood Wound', which is sort of a group 'Crushing Prison'. The other tidbits play out same as a regular mage, although it may be possible that you end up with a considerably higher spellpower, willpower being a less relevant attribute.

As for my favorite class, I don't really know, may be rogue! But as I said above, the classes are so well balanced that I enjoyed each and every one of them.
The build that resonated most with me, was probably the dual Veshialle wielding warrior. Kills stuff ridiculously fast, even the archD didn't get a chance to fly to the secluded area, that was my 'aha moment. My 2nd favourite would be the spirit warrior archer, scored my greatest damage numbers with her. But overall, I guess rogues are most fun to me, me being a fan of utility and all.

I agree with Blazomancer on Awakening and on two-handers. Every class becomes super overpowered in the xpac to the point you should be considered a demigod. As for two-handers there auto attacks are slow but that is remedied by using activated talents, haste or a swift salve. Anyways here are my thoughts and recommendations.

Shield warrior: The big advantage this guy has over two-handers is damage reduction. You get a few sustainables that make you absorb more damage and your overall attack damage isn't nothing to scoff at either. You also get immunity to flanking attacks and backstabs which is the best thing about this class in my opinion.

Two-hander: Personally this is my favorite warrior build as it has great damage and you can still tank like a champ. It's very gear dependent but if you save enough gold to purchase the blood dragon armour you can acquire the whole set right after Lothering. Just pump strength as high as possible and for your first two talents get sunder arms and mighty blow. Sunder arms is very spamable and has a low stamina cost. Good damage too. By level 10 try to get two-handed sweep as it is a great aoe attack.

Archer: Can't say much for archer as it is easily my least favorite of all. Scattershot is an awesome ability yet you get that mid to late game. Other then that there is nothing a dual wield rogue cannot do better then an archer. Too many of their attacks require too much stamina and have a long cast time so I end up auto attacking almost constantly.

Blood Mage - Now I've never played a blood mage. In fact it's the one specialization I have yet to unlock. However as far as mages are concerned they are easily my most favorite class. There are so many ways to build a mage they make playing any other class difficult now. You have crowd control, raw damage, damage overtime, heals and you can even be a great tank. I'm currently trying a shapeshifter build now myself though I can't comment on how good it is yet. I got to get to level twelve again as I just found out I botched my override folder.

Edit: Just wanted to add a bit on the archer. They are most definitely playable, it's just a very specialized build and requires the proper group set up to function at 100% effectivness. They are heavy on sustainables which leave little or no stamina for activated abilities. And the activated abilities aren't all that great to begin with so you just end up auto attacking mostly.

I think all the classes can be extremely fun and effective if you build them properly.

-At first I thought S&S was boring since you spend more time standing there taking damage instead of dishing it out. Then I discovered the Shield Bash skill tree and fell in love. It's so fun to pummel your enemies with your shield.

-2H is fun in theory but less in practice. As others have said, the auto-attack is painfully slow and boring. Blazomancer mentioned activated abilities being faster though, which I never thought of. I guess you could use lots of activated abilities in combat, but then you'll need to invest more points in Willpower to have enough stamina. 2H Warriors are also NOT good tanks by themselves. They are a strength/damage class, but have embarrassingly low defence unless you invest more points in Dexterity and Constitution, and/or use their high strength to give them the heaviest armor you can. (I think you learn more crowd control skills later though, so it's not so bad.)

-I don't know how Archery is in Skyrim, but odds are it's different here. Archery is better here than most traditional RPG's in my opinion, but it's still a little more challenging than the other classes and doesn't become overly powerful until the last half or third of the game. Still totally worth it if you love archery and don't mind putting in a little extra time and effort to make them work. (Ridirkulous' comment about archers being heavy on sustainable and activated abilities can easily be overcome by adding more points in Willpower so you have more stamina to pull them off.)

-Blood Mages are absolute powerhouses. By the last third of the game, you will be a god in moral skin.

As others have said, duel-wielders can be very fun, fast and powerful. Dueld-wielding daggers for the rogue can have some of the fastest and strongest damage in the game and strength-based duel-wielding is nothing to sneeze at either.I personally don't have a favorite class though. They all have their strengths and weaknesses and it just depends on which class I feel is right for which character.
