Of course since we prefer to use text chat instead of listening to obnoxious people. Problem is, only PC users use this and EA doesn't give a crap about us (apart from just being lazy and making a direct conversion. Being forced to play with low res textures is just another example).

I wish I could simply use text chat in the lobby.  Now I can only do that if I'm playing with friends.  Instead no one says anything except for that one guy who thinks his singing is great.

EDIT: Not that I really care.  Communication is largely unnecessary in this game.

I'm shocked to hear that people out there actually think female players are batting eyelashes so we can be carried and or revived. How do you even know this? 

Personally- when I die- I mash my A button- if I'm on the wrong side of the map I med gel. It's that simple. No flirting required. Most of the time- I'm reviving my teammates a lot. Funny how they do not flirt for that revive! 

I think this entire idea is completely sexist. "She's a girl gamer so she's flirting with me to be revived or carried!". Really?! <_<

Except a couple of girls do talk. And they tend to be awesome players. And definitely not interrested in dating, especially not with their bf around (he's either the Krogan or the Turian). Usually they play better than you though. You're only leading the scoreboard because they let you, cus they were too busy reviving #3 and #4 and doing devices objectives.

I'll have to try that if we ever get to play together- I don't think I can pull off the Scarlett O'Hara accent though.

I'm on PC, my friend list is about 50% female (thanks to the friends I made on the old character forums, damn you bioevilchris for closing those!) and given my chosen tag name, I don't bother hiding my gender. I've had almost zero issues with people I meet in PUGs, mostly I prefer playing with friends but when everyone else is in a fully lobby I'll either host a public game or join a random group and see who I end up with.

A player is a player, I don't know if people I end up with are male or female for the most part, few people talk. I have a mic and always talk with friends, I just don't normally say much with randoms. But overall, as long as everyone on the team contributes and works together then that's me happy.

You know the funny thing is, I was playing an PUG today against the reapers, and fighting as usual, then, the femquarian infiltrator gets downed and I rush to revive her, suddenly I hear an lovely "thank you!" and I was all like: "holy crap, I'm actually player with an girl here!". You know, like Wrex says in ME 1, fighting together with females give a whole nother taste to the battlefield.... so true.

You were at the top of the quote pyramid.  Don't worry, my comment was directed at Ashera, the person perpetuating the 'if you revive/do objectives other people will outscore you' myth.

Reviving is the reason I score so high. It gets me a medal, and my decoys stay out longer.

Yeah, that comment earlier had me scratching my head, too.

If any chick in a room I inhabited said anything over the mic about needing a big, strong man to carry her or revive her... I seriously would not be able to stop myself from leading two Banshees straight to her as soon as humanly possible.

True on the revives, they give a medal and an acceptable amount of points as well. But still, every second doing a device is a second not spent killing enemies, and it won't give you a medal. But, it's a crucial part of completing the game you're in, and even on PC, I've seen people initiate a kickvote on a player who was just below #3, but did more than half the devices. The difference being not much more than two banshees and a few marauders.
If that player hadn't done those objectives, he/she would definitely have scored way more than #3, while the credit bonus would definitely have been a bit lower as well. And credits are what we eventually all play for.

I'd be laughing too if I didn't know someone on another site who flirts and insinuates she will cyber with them later in online games if guys give her rare items, give her kills, whatever. Thankfully ME multiplayer makes flirting to get things pretty pointless...

However that idea of leading banshees to them if they tried it in ME is full of win.
