Really? That comes as a surprise to me, just look at all the classy guys on this thread-oh wait...

Conversely, if you are a guy and give me special treatement like giving me kills and such because I'm a girl I don't consider that chivalry. I find it insulting beyond belief. What, do you think just because I have two X chromosomes that means I am inept at getting by on my own skills?
I've been playing video games since before I could walk back in the 80s. First thing my Dad taught me as a gamer when I could understand is you don't "play nice" and give pity wins and you don't let people "play nice" against you. You play hard or go home. Advice that's served me well throughout the years playing with guys. Heck got me married to a wonderful gamer guy that is more than thrilled that he doesn't have to worry about hurting my feelings because I'm such a fragile and delicate gamer flower.
Girls, play hard or don't play. Letting guys carry you and having "Underground" as your gamer type is just posing.

This thread is basically living proof as to why girls pass as guys in video games.
Some of you act like you've never even interacted with women...
Welcome to the world of Online Gaming.
In all seriousness can we please get this thread locked, its an embarrassment to the community.

Who the **** hits on random people in a game?! (I hope that sentence is well written)
I can't believe that some people try that...
- Why do you play online games?
- To meet girls/guys and have a relationship.
Internet never ceases to amaze me
Pd: If you ask, I only play online with friends or in games where people scarcely uses microphones, so I've barely seen stuff like this.

Understatement of the year.
I was trying to say it in a polite way, more or less.
Anyways, I'm gunna leave now, I'm pretty sure this thread is giving me cancer.

Gamer guys, that's what we do, we hit on anything that sounds even vaguely female, why do you think so many girls just pretend to be guys when they play online? Or not talk altogether?

And no, I'm a gamer and that's something I don't do... My only love is the Rachni Queen and I'll never betray her with a female PUG.

In the last few years it's definitely improved but the leechers still exist. I know one who likes to brag about her awesome skills and then bawls when guys don't give her special treatment... drives me crazy...
Most guys though are pretty cool. You can have a good conversation without getting hit on. Haven't really run into any scumbags with mics in the short time I've been playing ME so the image of the scumbag misogynist guy thankfully appears to he dying as well. As much as people complain about the community, most that I've met are cool. Even with randoms.

I think I have more women on my friends list than men, of the people who use mics that is. Don't know, or care to know, the gender of non-mic using players. Finding female players on ME3 on the PS3 isn't hard at all.
Also, this player, and occasional BSN poster, is female. Decent player, not awesome.
Does it matter? Would you like to geek out on other subjects? I am fairly good at geeking over various games, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, zombies, and horror and sci-fi in general.
Wow, someone else who likes Doctor Who, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica? Too bad you're on PS3, we could have great talks.
Anyways, I find with sci-fi you get both ends of the spectrum with women; some claim to know it and end up not knowing any at all, and others know more than most guy geeks. And frankly, I've found more girls interested in Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica than guys.

Tictac, not sure if your word means something different, but "female" is simply the designation for a person of the fairer sex, same with the word "male."
"femelle" in french is for animals only, for a human woman it's offensive.
Well, German has the verb come at the end of the sentence, if I remember correctly, so that's a bit odd. But yeah, English and French are just whacked. Trust me, I'm Canadian.

Legit reason.
But it's kinda sad that women can't talk during games because they are afraid of some guy hitting on them (or bored of it, pick your reason). Again too bad, because it's fun to strategize and shout dangers while playing.
Oh and... I BEAT YOU ON ONE OF THE SILVER MATCHES IN SCORE! Yes! I'm awesome! WHO-HOO! Oh I am so good... Take that! Haha!

Well I mainly meant interested in talking at all. But I have been hit on plenty of times. They were all blocked immediately.

I've run into some that hit on me but given the number of games I've played an overall small percentage. But then, I don't always speak.
